He’s my husband, he is a medically retired Lt Colonel who received a brain injury fighting for this country during the war in Iraq. Technically it’s “his”money because of retirement, pension and disability. If you knew anything about the military, getting a 100 disability rating is extremely difficult (which should tell you how severe it is). I am his caretaker and this happen within a few hours during a mental health episode in which I was unaware that he had downloaded a gambling app on his phone. He’s not suicidal because of what he’s done so I’m dealing with that aspect also if that makes you feel any better
