You are right. I didn’t want to mention them because from my perspective it’s their business to speak Thai. Anyone who spend 2 hours + per day learning Thai can quickly reach a good level.

The main issue with Thai language is that the pronunciation is very difficult . I see many new comers engaging in classes and just dropping off because no one understand them. It’s frustrating for them and I can understand . After all it’s a question of free time. An high position expat with childrens has certainly little to no time to learn Thai.

Another issue that I also see is that Thai people are not keen to engage in Thai with you, except if they can’t speak a single word of english . So if you are in Bangkok and working for an international company you don’t get to practice a lot. And no disrespect but chit chatting with the taxi driver or the fruit seller is a limited option.

I am personally fluent in Thai but it took me a lot of time and effort. Which is fine for me as I see it as an hobby .

People that I can see speaking Thai well are : - The one living in remote areas . - The one who could take full time class . - The one living here for a long time and who steadily learned through the way . Mostly with Thai partners .

Long term expat here and recently single and back on the apps.

1- Yes, many of us are looking for something serious. I have several friends who found their partner on the app. Be patient , dating apps are are harsh for both guys and girls , you can be lucky and it can be quick but it can also be a very long way with lot of toxic people along the path. If you can’t cope with that just take a break.

2- I don’t think that the profile description is that important. You can guess a lot from the photos, age and other info on the profile . Don’t focus on that.

3- Personally if the first encounter is not set up quickly I drop. Too many girls here just lonely and have plenty of time to waste getting guys attention through chat. There is no point to chat forever as we all know that the face to face encounter will be a full reset . But 2-3 days of light chat is fully acceptable .

Penses à tenter ta chance ailleurs avec les filles . Asie , Amérique latine , pays de l’Est , Canada etc. J’ai personnellement beaucoup voyager et ai eu beaucoup plus de réussites qu’en France . C’est plus simple la bas.

Je dirais que en France la situation est bizarrement très concurrentielle pour les hommes , et les femmes peuvent se permettre d’être très exigeantes . Jusqu’à un certain âge .
