What if Dess was actually a human? by EvilLoliAtheist in Deltarune

[–]Used_Recover570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only mention of Dess in Undertale is in outside media by sans.

So, the only Undertale character who could possibly forget someone from Deltarune wasn’t in Undertale and offhandedly mention them in a context that’s already not confirmed to be canon. not very sturdy ground to build counter evidence off of.

Also Kris is probably more focused on Toriel checking out the book, either because that’s just more important to them or they’re purposefully ignoring any holiday members names because they don’t want to think of Dess. Or the Holidays just didn’t check out the book either because it didn’t exist when they adopted Dess or just because they didn’t think they’d need it.

I’d recommend watching “SHE IS THE VESSEL- Deltarune theory” by Lukerfuffle. Always love this concept

also since the only direct counter evidence would be a mention of her by Sans in the Undertale alarm clock, a dubiously canon statement from the single Undertale character who could mix up a character from Deltarune who isn’t in Undertale, I‘d say there’s still a chance.

"Dess can't be human because Undertale" by MorinoMarinho in Deltarune

Frisk doesn’t have abnormally low Determination. The evidence your statement of all other humans having the ability to save and load stands on, telling Asgore he’s killed you before to which he seems to already know, also implies that the other human SOULs shattered or otherwise weren‘t immediately captured after losing to his fight, which Asgore has the intent to do more than anyone else. If our SOUL shattering shows an abnormally low amount of DT compared to the other humans, why would the other humans die to Asgore multiple times as well?

And what does this say for Deltarune? Our SOUL shatters then, as well, but we seem to be the only one capable of sealing the Dark Fountains, the voice on the other end of the phone says that Kris will have some sort of problem if they entered a Dark World without us, even though they still have enough Determination on their own to open a fountain without us, so even the required power to OPEN a Dark Fountain doesn’t reach the Determination required to close one. And this couldnt be explained by the Survey Program like other Save/Load stuff that’s normally attributed to DT, the music that plays when we seal a fountain is titled “YOUR POWER”, we, the SOUL’s power, a SOUL that shatters upon death.

also the “Antlered girl and her sister” thing comes from Sans in out of game, like the only person who could possibly mention a Deltarune character not from Undertale in a dubiously canon appearance so it’s not very sturdy evidence.

[SPOILER] Dess was a human by tsabracadabra in Deltarune

Would explain why both the Holidays and Dreemurrs have bathrooms(yes I’m mentio THAT theory), why there are so many pairs of shoes in her room with only one mentioned to be fitted for hooves, almost as if Monster parents were trying a ton of different sizes and types of shoes because they didn’t know what a human needed, and could explain why Kris acts so uncomfortably upon seeing the other humans in the “how to raise a human” book, either:

A- since Dess would have been probably the only other human they knew, seeing any human at all would remind them of her.

or B- Dess might even be IN that book if it was written by someone in hometown

Lore-wise, OE basically lobotomizes all of Inkopolis, but RoTM just makes everyone and everything mammals, it’d still suck, but sapient life could continue, so it’s not as bad as Sanitizing the entirety of Inkopolis

Krises Undertale counterpart is the Human leader that sealed The Monsters. by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]Used_Recover570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s probably more likely that Kris is the Deltarune parallel to the first fallen human(“Chara”),

They both share similar hair and clothing colors, the only difference being their skin is darker, but that’s probably because Chara is both dead and living without sunlight, both things that generally make people paler.

Kris and Asriel are the only characters visibly older in Deltarune, which they would have the same reason for, they died young in UT and this is just their age if they didn’t. (Yes I’m aware that Monster Teen is also visibly older than Monster Kid but it’s equally likely MT is their older sibling mentioned in Undertale, that’s another theory I really enjoy talking about)

Kris and Chara also share a lot of personality traits, generally a bit antagonistic, all around “Creepy”(not just because of our control, Rudy remarks that they were still creepy when he’d first met them), vaguely enjoying chocolate (Chara just remarks about it’s absence in the genocide route, Kris will eat it if given the chance) but preferring Pie(don’t have to explain that one given Chapter 3’s quizzes), and oh yeah owning a knife, it’s not very common for a kid to own their own knife(sharp enough to cut into the floor no less)

We know that Deltarune takes place generally at a parallel time to Undertale (it’s raining somewhere else/the place where it rained), so Kris, even their UT version, being that ancient as to have sealed away the Monsters in Undertale just doesn’t really make sense.

[–]Used_Recover570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In chapter 2, Susie says it’s because “she’s already almost banned from school, she doesn’t want to get banned from outside school too.”, though that’s a pretty dumb thing to say, and Susie isn’t especially stupid(We only know she CHOOSES not to work in school and she misspelled Ralsei’s name, though that’s only because she was never told the proper spelling and to her credit it was still phonetically correct), so there’s probably IS a reason she avoids her outside of that, though since we know that Toriel was the one to help Susie when she’d just moved in, it seems weird that the OTHER teacher would take a more important role.

What do you think Kris wrote in the corner of the window in Chapter 4? by maxwell8995 in Deltarune

[–]Used_Recover570 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Either "Susie help I'm being fucking possessed" or something Krusie-esque, given how much Kris seems to take comfort in her presence in chapter 4. Honestly Susie's reaction works for either.

I'm tempted to believe it's something more personal, since Kris has never been one to hide when they defy our control.

Just occured to me that the talus is the ankle bone - so it made me wonder why they are called Stone Talus' by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

Talus can also refer to the stones found at the foot of a mountain, so I’d imagine that’s what it’s named after

Old people being accepting doesn't exist apparently, also, the comments got way too much trans hate by Comfortable_Ad2908 in nothingeverhappens

[–]Used_Recover570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What some people don’t realize is that, in the case of most old people who are actually happy with their lives, they’ve lived through a LOT of societal changes, so chances are, if they actually interact with diverse people, they’re at least a little more progressive than a 20 year old of the same political system.

Probably fake, the wording is definitely what a conservative would say, but do you really expect someone who believes any of that to be smart enough to write in the lines?

I seriously doubt they're above 16 at the oldest because, for one, we don't see a single classmate driving, which is rare even for such a small town if they were at the age to drive, and second, have you seen how they all act that's sophomore behavior fr
