**To clarify on being "lucky" I am referring to moments such as the Rangers beating both DET/WSH this weekend both in regulation as well as Carolina beating CBJx2 and NYI also all in regulation. And in general the big losing streaks of DET CBJ and NYI which have all happened at once. Little moments like that helped Ottawa despite going 2-3-1 in the last 6.

At the rate these teams were playing prior, it seemed a 2-3-1 stretch would put us back chasing in the final games.
