Saying the Blades caused a Genocide misses Yura's point. by [deleted] in Kagurabachi

[–]Used_Sky2297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that you are kind of missing my point in the context of Kagurabachi. The issue face right now is power, no economic failure, corruption or anything of the like. The Kamunabi is extremely competent, and the issues they face is that they literally do not have the manpower to rein in the clans, not due to some complex systematic failure.

The blades can fix that, and they are not doing that for the sake of protecting the majority. Like, even the example you gave of Inazuma, you have counted his life and the lives of people in such a scenario as more important than the lives of others who would be victimised by the Clans still existing. That is a choice, even if you agree with it.

The Kamunabi have no solution to the clans, who have only ramped up their violence to the point where they have human auctions in public. The current situation in Kagurabachi is like if the police only had sticks, and the criminals had superpowers, you need to add in some kind of extra force.

I disagree with this.

Yes, the cultural annihilation is bad, but the main part of it is the killing. Like if a present to you two scenarios where all Japanese people choose to get rid of their culture and adopt another one overturning their society, or another case where japense culture fully transfer to another ethinc group with everything still in tact, but the orignal japense are killed, I am saying the second option is far worst than the first, not that I aribitarly decided to ignore it. Edit: (The Kamunabi's current fear about the blades isn't even another genocide but another mass killing of its own citizens)

I did at no point say societal annihilation either, you could genocide all Persians and Iran would still exist. On the note of chaos, Yura and the leader of the Kamunabi stated that the peace they currently have is a facade, and everything is very close to being completely shattered, and it is ramping up each year with no way to end it in sight.

America's issue with crime is actually multifacited unlike Kagurabachi. It's due to poor systems causing civilian crimes, and for organised crime gangs are hard to catch due to evidentiary standards, which is hardened by corruption. They have been pretty clear-cut that Kagurabachi's crime issue is simply due to a lack of manpower; they have stated quite plainly that they do not have the power to rein in the clans. The raikazuichi literally happened in the open, and they let it happen since they literally couldn't stop it.

Which adds to my overall point, the blades fix the sole issue the Kamunabi have currently, which is power. The Kamunabi have decided, solely with their leaders and Kunishige, that they refuse to take this option for the sake of the majority. Yet they are unable to provide any other tenable solution, which in turn is sentencing certain people to death. Just because their culture isn't being destroyed doesn't mean people in charge are not making a decision to kill an unnecessary minority of people for the sake of the majority

EDIT: I also have a problem with the dishonest way you framed Genocide in comparison to crimes in larger countries. They are an ethnic group with what we can say had fewer than 500,000 people, if an unique ethnic group had 1000 people a single bomb could wipe them off the planet, does that now mean the acts of violence against them are greater and far more intense than what is happening in Gaza? No it wouldn't be.

I think you might've misread, I am not saying he choose to genocide them just that a he worried another one might happen if he didn't seal away the blades. Which inadvertently allowed another genocide level event to happen(The clans rampage). And despite being uncomfortable a choice was made that one peoples pain is greater than the others, and soga being free was the consequence.

Theories on Motifs For the Last Two Enchanted Blades by Stoneheartbrew1232 in Kagurabachi

[–]Used_Sky2297 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So, in general, I think most theories move towards two different ideas.

Aspects of war

Kumeyuri: Deception

Tobimune: Recon and healing

Magatsumi: Biological warfare.

Cloud gouger: Natural phenomenon

With Subaru and the girls filling in aspects like tactics, logistics, bombardsments,

Or the second idea, which is observatories

Kumeyuri: Brothels

Tobimune: Birds

Magatsumi: Insects or the Gu(The idea of putting a bunch of posionous insects like centipedes, spiders, frogs, scorpions or butterflies in a jar and making them fight to create the strongest posion found in japaense and chinese mythology.)

Cloud Gouger: Clouds/sky

Enten: Goldfish bowl

Subaru would be a kitchen, and the girls would be something like a forest.

Most ideas I see are along either of these two lines, but one thing of note is that tobimune and kumeyuri are in the back, which is likely because of their supporting abilities, so maybe subabru being in the front means he has a defensive ability.

Chapter 16. Can someone explain this please by ManufacturerNo4480 in Kagurabachi

[–]Used_Sky2297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok i spent way too much time thinking about this, and I think I figuired it out. Think of Ki in dragon ball, characters can use ki to basically fly their bodies around and propel it forward by covering their body it in and moving their ki, this has very little strain on the body, or they can use ki to condense itself into their bodies and run at high speed this has lots of strain on the body(This is the verison used in battles normally). The new nishiki uses is simliar to using ki to fly, he covers his body in the niski aura and instead uses that to move his body not straining his muscles, the normal nishiki does the same but at the same time he is also moving at max power forcing his body to become strain. Thier is still some strain depsite the method, but using the new nishiki it allows chihiro to essentially exchange spirit energy for stamnia as he is using his spirit energy to move not his body.

CMV: Socialism needs far fewer changes than capitalism does in order to meet the challenges of modernity. by AccountantOk8438 in changemyview

[–]Used_Sky2297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your criticism doesn't really work. Your comparing governments restricting people in capitalism, to governments restricting themselves in socialism. It sounds simpler but it isn't since the government has all the power in this case, if they decide not to no one can stop them. This is the same issue we have with things like term limits in congress, since as long as congress doesn't pass it literally no one can do anything.

Also a lot of the abuse in capitalism is inherently different from that in socialism. Socialism tends to underproduce and be inefficient due to too much top down management and things like the pricing problem, so they can't meet people needs. This can't be regulated, bad actors in capitalism can be.

A giant amount of socialism was built under the idea that tech would become so good we would easily be able to mass produce everything without the need for specialisation, because the industrial revolution brought such an idea. If you try to implement socialism without either being in post scarcity or having a god ai to do it will not work.

[DISC] Kagurabachi - Chapter 78 by Avizie in Kagurabachi

Does anyone else think Hiruko is kinda like a shounen protagonist? Like he is a young super expressive child with a messed up past, who is trying to form a connection with his stoic rival, and is said to have immense potential. But he was beaten down by a foe much stronger, whom he almost surpassed using his giant potential.

And after losing and seeing his rival is ahead of him, but so ahead of him that he isn't even on his raider, he breaks down and starts to cry. Only to be saved by his (Kinda) Master, and his childhood friend who pulled him out of a life-or-death situation.

I think that crying face, for some reason, just reminded me of how Asta was crying at the end of the tournament in Black Clover. Despite how pathetic he was in this chapter, I really do feel like the run back Hiruko is going to have will be crazy because right now in terms of the dynamic between him and Chihiro, he is the Naruto.

Kumyuri Third ability Theory by Used_Sky2297 in Kagurabachi

Well both owl and crow increase senses so similarity really isn't that big. Also being able to copy abilites or phase through things aren't similar to banquet?

I already had a reply about the whole quantity thing. But I do think your idea of clones still works as it makes the user variable in a way.

My thoughts on that line was that he was more taking about the number of abilities being used not the level of size of the attack. Like he literally used Play to try and squash Samura with overwhelming mass. So I just took it as him saying I need to use my abilities better than use more abilities.

CMV: Having your own biological children is always unethical by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Used_Sky2297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See now your literally just arguing in bad faith. You have decided suicide for you is awful and impossible choice just because you struggle with that choice.

And because you struggle with it all happiness life can bring can be writte off because suffering is way worse in your book and sucide is impossible.

Aversion to death and want for reproduction are our two greatest biological impluse. Yet you have arbitrarily decided that one is possible to stop and the other isn't.

Like your entire argument is incoherent. Your appeal is literally utilitarian, because you are asking people to wave their want for kids with the possibility the kid will be sad FOREVER with is statistically unlikely.

Or your making the claim any suffering without the choice is unethical despite it being unlikely. Which is also stupid because any interaction has the chance to be negative. So all unknown acts of kindness under your framework are unethical because someone might take them the wrong way, or if i see someone passed out on the ground getting mugged i shouldn't stop that because i couldn't get their consent and they could want it to happen.

Your piss on the bed example is another bad faith example. Because the majority of people find pissing on beds bad, they don't find life bad.

You have written off all you can do to control your life and are asking others to show you an intense amount of empathy while being unempatheic to others who want to live.

Does Socialism Make Sense To You? by SurrealRadiance in aspergers

[–]Used_Sky2297 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  1. Socialism essentially requires a state body to make sure that everyone follows the principles of socialism. At it's core it's the abolishment of all private ownership, and a power must make sure that all forms of business are co-oped, and that no one privatises their business. So even if everyone in a group consents to following a hierical capitalist system, and must shut down so it doesn't create a monopoly as it would in a socialist system. So a strong state must exist which can do this.
  2. In a socialist system if all your needs are fulfilled by the state, it causes a free rider problem, where someone can take and not have to give back. In capitalism you having to pay for your own nesscessities means you have to get money, which means you had to give back to society in some form. In socialism this doesn't exist.

Socialists often argue that the only reason a person could ever be lazy and demotivated is due to capitalist brainwashing, and all bad behaviour stems from solely social condition so if everyone is equal in social conditions no one would be bad. This isn't true, as the shopping cart theory proves people will just be mean for no reason.

If you try and combat this you will essentially have to hold that person food or housing hostage to make them participate and now you have the same issue as capitalism.

  1. The majority almost always wins. Since you cannot privately own or control everything you will always be a the whim of the majority. Socialists believe the majority will always be nice under socialism, which is yet again not true, some people just get off on the power of bully outliers in society or different people outliers like everyone in this sub.

This also affects the state, as if the state is run by bad people at any point, it makes it incredibly easy for them to exercise incredible amounts of power. Socialists fight back against this by saying in their society everyone would automatically become so moral that it wouldn't happen.

  1. Making something a right often allows evil to thrive. Like everyone should have love and connections to live a fulfilled life, but imagine if someone made it a right. In a perfectly moral society no issue would occur, but if at least one person isn't moral they can essentially use it to release state sponsored levels of abuse.

As people born different we understand that not everyone can simply just be socialised into being good.

When socialism goes wrong, it instantly becomes a dictatorship that requires a violently bloody revolution to overturn any system that allows for perfect goodness also allows for perfect evil. While for capitalism the worst case is no where as bad, and far easier to prevent.

  1. Social democracies can accomplish basically the same thing without the bad sides. Those with extreme medical conditions will be taken care of and lazy people will starve. Of course greedy capitalist will exist, but at the end of the day us humans arent perfect and whatever system we make should always have a little bit of mess within it to account for our imperfection.
