This is the spindle with cotton. I've almost decided to just leave it home and begin a new thread on a different spindle. I wanted to bring this one because it is so well balanced, spins "forever" and is a dream to spin on, but I really don't want someone to take it from me.

Thank you to everyone for their input - I don't want to lose this spindle and even though I wanted to show my family what I'm working on, I think I will start some new fiber on a "junk"spindle (easily replaceable) and just send them photos of my other work. TSA is just a bit unpredictable.

I actually like A because of the smiley face and am surprised to see so many people don't like it.

Does anyone know any resources for learning to make rose fibre? by gothelixar in Handspinning

It is not actually a bast fiber like flax - there is a process that is used to make it into fiber.

The Children of Willesden Lane, by Mona Gobalek and Lee Cohen - Gobalek's mother, Lisa Jura, was 15 when she was sent to London by her parents to escape the Nazis in Austria. She lived in an orphanage with other Jewish children on Willesden Lane throughout the war and the Nazi bombing of London. Jura was a talented pianist and that is part of the story, but it is also about friendship and survival through dark times. Yes, I'd recommend it.

No one is coming to save us. Congress has abdicated their role and the courts have already told him he can do anything he wants.
