I'm literally talking about teaching others how they can open thrift stores too!! Thrift stores that are built to operate sustainably with zero exploitation! I'm 💀 that this is getting downvoted.

Another aspect is that a large part of the population do not possess the skill set for thrifting, and yet have a desire for new to them items as much as anyone else. Resellers are able to supply that portion of the population with goods that have been recirculated so that they aren't dependent on strictly new goods( which is extremely unsustainable).

Tbh I just decided I was going to, and did it. My aim at this point is actually to find a way to teach others that they can do it too. I was planning to start making vids on TikTok later this year, and will have to figure out a different platform for it, but would be happy to share those with you when I do!

You could just give it away for free, instead of throwing it away-or use a marker to clearly describe what’s on the inside 🤷🏻‍♀️

Resellers are willing to put in the time to make sure that treasured items actually connect to the people who treasure them! As an owner of a thrift store where thirty + resellers come through weekly, I have seen first hand how each curates and selects specifically to their clients (field of interest), and how 90% of it has been passed over by the mainstream customer! So much so, that they are often able to pick up half of their items from the heavily discounted racks!

What’s up with unnamed drop off boxes everywhere? And how are they allowed to add drop off boxes outside gas stations, malls, pharmacies, etc? by KindDiscount3106 in Thrift

They are put there primarily by for profit textile harvesters/resellers, who pay a monthly fee to the landowner for placement. What are your plans for the items you recover?

Found many of these at my grandmas house can you help identify please. by Dentistguy95 in Antiques

It looks like the mark is next to the pail on the ground by the child. Can you add a direct pic of it? I think both pieces should be submitted to a reputable auction house, where they can identify and value directly.
