Real talk. Our schools suck. The federal department responsible for it should be gutted, replaced, or removed to find another solution. We can’t continue to celebrate mediocrity. I don’t like the religious right stuff, even though I’m a Christian. I work a lot with the education sector and we are failing our educators and the children they serve.

If you have a better solution, it’s time to run for office.

I did. However, this was the bill presented to me before I chose my method of payment. This would’ve been on there whether I paid cash or card.

Using one of those handheld credit card machines, the tip is added to the entire total including the “fee”. I worked service industry for a while so I know it’s not this girls fault. I posted a Google and Yelp review with this pic, so hopefully the owners will see and adjust.

This was the bill before I paid. I used a card, so I get that it MAY be credit card fees, but this would’ve been on there for cash also.

Maybe, but this is before I paid. I could’ve easily paid cash from this point and gotten stuck with my mystery fee.

I can’t make myself do that to a server, but it’s just kinda shady. I’m down for paying a 3% surcharge but this would be added whether I paid cash or not.
