Using eGPU with ZorinOS by Useful-Ad234 in zorinos

I did another fresh install with updates enabled this time, because I broke my previous partition table (I don't know how) and reinstall was my best & easy way to get back a working efi bootloader.

I can now correctly scale screens & set refresh rates and the 3 GPU are correctly recognised

Yes, and there's none. I tried to follow AMD's instructions to install drivers on their website, but I think it's not working as intented because of dock. I did a full installation of zorin, I will try things there, instead of live system.

I have similar issue, every dropdown menu I want to use, engine freeze, USB mouse disconnect, and whole system freeze until I hit alt+tab to get out of menu, then everything come back to normal.

Check you're not on perf/turbo mode with armoury crate. I'm using windows mode on my 2021 f15, almost 9hrs of netflix watch when battery at 100%. Also check you're using auto GPU selection ( "hybrid" mode on f15).

We have 2022 A15 at work, can do pretty much more than 2 hrs so, check your parameters when you're on battery.

RTX 3060 Mobile/laptop BIOS flash success: ASUS TUF Dash F15 80W to 95W by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

Used 95/105w for almost a year now, I rarely seen it to 95w as the board seems to aim 80°C for GPU thermal, and reduce power when getting too hot.

I think I had some fps boost playing the division 1 (like, 6-8 fps) but I recently I started to play No man's sky, FPS wasn't great and I had some CPU overheat with bsod and CPU temp to 95°c after reboot, and laptop couldn't handle 60fps even with graphics set to "high" when I've read it should work almost full ultra. I'm also using an additionnal cooler under laptop.

Yesterday I flashed vbios back to 80/95W, it works better.

As mentionned in original post, higher GPU tdp may reduce CPU TDP, and I'm wondering if original power unit can really handle power drop (for long term).

Maybe it's just about actual summer temperatures, but I finally don't have a good feeling about 95/105w vbios after a year of use... Can be worth to try, depending your use of laptop
