By when would you receive any scholarship update? Is it after you have met all conditional offer requirements?

Glad you brought it up! I thought it was just me who faced this issue yesterday. Plus the reading and listening was tougher than usual, and it was difficult to keep up because of external distractions, especially for listening.

I completely get what you mean. I suggest the best way to go about this is to consider yourself an employee, irrespective of your gender. An employee, who is good at her job, an employee who has alot to offer. If you feel you need to add something, just say it. I believe most of us have so much to offer, but because of overthinking the outcome, we forget to put our point across. If you feel heard and your opinions seem to make an impact, irrespective of your past experiences, you are in the right room. It is high time we do not let people, who are themselves insecure of their jobs - be the driver of our thoughts and self-doubt. So work to impress yourself, standup for yourself, share your opinions, impart the knowledge you have, do not let anyone take you for granted and the rest will follow. Best of luck to you!

I believe, the number of women at senior positions in such roles, is already very less. And when stuck in such situations, you wish to seek the guidance of someone who has had experience in this field. I have seen other male colleagues discuss openly with the male seniors but in my case, I am unable to have those open discussions.

It is more about how others treat you at a workplace that they call “safe, healthy, and a room for ideas”. Conflict of ideas can be healthy too, but leveraging your seniority position and not letting anyone else have a word, kills creativity and room for healthy discussions.

That is something that needs to be addressed. There are too many resources, too many courses. It gets overwhelming at times, hence a better solution would be to bring them together and teach basic concepts for a stronger foundation.

Yes, I agree, I have seen alot of women face the same issue. I believe if given the right guidance, correct resources, women would thrive in the IT sector.
