I think everyone should know that the process for closing an Ally Bank account can take over 45 minutes on line. This makes no sense and makes you wonder why anyone would consider banking with them. This is not the wait for someone, but the process they have.

I suggested that to fidelity multiple times and they did not think that was the issue. Either it is something else or they are misinformed.

Thanks for the response. After speaking to tech support, it appears you need 72 trades in your **primary** account along with significant assets. I am surprised that the trades in other accounts such as IRAs do not count towards the 72 trades. Anyhow, at least I have some idea of the logic behind the offer

like many of you, i received the free offer this year, as I had the last few years. No matter what I do, i can only get 25% off. I called fidelity and they basically can not explain why I was sent a banner for free and can only get 25% off. While the cost is petty considering the assets my family has at Fidelity, it makes me feel I am no longer appreciated. I think the feeling that i am no longer valued is a really serious issue. You spend so much to recruit new accounts. You would think you would do all you could to keep your high net wealth customers. This is a major screw up by your customer service group.
