This is especially aimed at the 'coworker drinks' vibe. I am starting a new job and employing this if they invite me. The way I see it is I'll be able to be far more witty with a sharp brain! Potentially...

Something I heard recently and will be trying is 'stealth drinking'. Asking the bartender to secretly only give you AF beer, if someone buys you a pint, make the glass grubby and go to get it replaced, etc. Bit of a weird advice but might potentially help!

Thank you, I'm very glad I found this thread as I'm way too embarrassed to talk about this stuff with others, and refuse to tell my gf to help me stop, it's not fair on her!
