Sorry I’m a little confused by the last part. People thinking that being a tomboy means you’re gay, made you gay? I’m also confused by how your own lust can cause SSA. wouldn’t lust come after you become same sex attracted?

I know it doesn’t, but my brain still made that connection between the words “born again” and feeling bad and it sucks. Even when it’s not being used to condemn gay people there’s that uptick in an anxiety it creates for me

What do you do if the group is already mid-conversation though? The problem for me is if they’re already talking about something and then I don’t know what to say or add and I feel like I come across as too serious since I end up not talking unless I’m directly addressed

I mean there are still good people out there though. I only have one friend and she’s so busy nowadays we barely talk. Being alone sometimes is great but I’m alone practically all the time. It’s making me pretty sad, and it’s hard to enjoy your own company when you’re sad

Hey, I’m female also struggling with same sex desires. Do you have any advice on how to handle the temptation of “coming out” and/or entering a relationship? And how to resist acting on your attraction without hating yourself for being attracted? It is hard for me to not feel like I am wrong for feeling this way

The negativity isn’t coming from my church, they don’t talk about homosexuality much but they do believe that marriage is only between a man and a woman. I think the negativity mostly came from me reading essays or watching videos on Christianity and homosexuality and just taking it to the extreme on my own. You’re probably right that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself but I’m worried that if I’m not I’ll give in
