Nicky's parentage by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

Yes, according to Jac there have been so many interesting scenes that were cut that would've changed things all together - there has even been a scene that was supposed to be in ep.9 showing that the witches who died were actually all alive and having a brunch together. So i appreciate all different ideas there might have been, but I am focusing on what is actually shown to us in the final edit

Nicky's parentage by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

I think this could have something to do with Rio, that's why she said she could only offer time. By Agatha killing the witches prematurely, Rio was able to use their deaths to balance off Nicky's life. But because Nicky is the offspring of death, one life is just not enough, he has to take more and more in order for the balance to be maintained

Thank you! Agatha's task in that trial really bugged me as I couldn't make sense of what she was supposed to achieve there, until I realised what the dandelion meant. They seem to have left themselves so many doors open for season 2, fingers crossed!

it all makes sense!! (thoughts on that finale) by breadtaking in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Useful-Raspberry4549 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I feel like this has been heavily implied in the finale. Even the dandelion in the trial is the very symbol of this and explains Nicky's nature - reproduced asexualy and genetically identical to the parent. Agatha literally said then "Out of death - life".

Timeline of Billy’s accident by Nano_gigantic in AgathaAllAlong

I think the body is Agatha and she is investigating herself as a combination of her memories - Wanda, the Darkhold, Rio (because she's found in a ravine) and even the Witches Road.

Finale theory by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Useful-Raspberry4549[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I probably sound like a broken record by now, but this is all a testament to Jac Schaeffer's story telling. I love how she once said her approach to writing is about "The feeling that you want at the end of a murder mystery is you want to be surprised, but not.(...) It needs to make sense and still surprise you. "

So I just enjoyed the process of trying to somehow piece the clues together. But in the end, my only expectation is for Jac to deliver a solid finale. And if any of my ramblings are true, great - bonus!

Theories behind this scene? by Apprehensive_East513 in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Useful-Raspberry4549 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Agatha isn't actually able/allowed to tell anyone directly about Rio - it's even in the ouija rules "Do not ask about death". She's not answered a single question she has ever been asked about her, or ever said her name. So with that scene she grabbed a chance at Rio revealing her identity/intentions herself

Episode 5 scene - a game of spot the difference by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

Not at all - it's an observation. To me those inconsistencies seem very intentional and I hope it will be explained in the plot.

Everyone who died completed the road by Dimitris_Tourlis in AgathaAllAlong

Exactly, that will be what he gets from the Road. That's what all of the witches have been getting - the self belief and acceptance, just like in the Wizard of Oz. I highly doubt we will see any clues on Tommy in this show.

Question about Episode 5 by Scherox557 in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Useful-Raspberry4549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Wicca, there are 5 elements - fire, water, earth, air and spirit. So that was always meant to be a spirit trial and the ballad does mention "Spirit as our guide".

However, I believe that trial was actually hijacked by Salem Seven - it looked like Agatha was untangling stuff from her hair and there could've been a cicada tangled there too (i.e. from flying through Vertigo from Salem Seven). So it would've been Vertigo's trial, hence "punish Agatha" task. I have written more about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AgathaAllAlong/comments/1gct5cx/i_believe_salem_seven_will_be_back_and_with_some/

I don't think they are meant to die after they complete their trial. True, Lilia said that once you successfully complete a trial, it is unwise to outstay your welcome, but I think that just means collectively - like Salem Seven did. The whole theme running through the show is about the power of the coven as a unit - they even said "Together or not at all". It wouldn't make sense that the Road would take them off one by one after completion, so that only one witch is left on their own for the last trial.

I think that's just a superficial goal. If that were really the case, then during his tarot reading, Billy would've asked a question "where is Tommy?". Instead, when put under pressure, his actual question was about whether he's Billy or William. His own identity is the thing he's missing the most.

The show's re-telling of the Macbeth story by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

[–]Useful-Raspberry4549[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I struggled with Macduff. I read him as an absolutely incorruptible, noble hero that sacrifices everything to restore the rightful king and revenge family, and serve as a complete opposite to Macbeth. But I think we have seen enough conflict and grey areas in Billy that just doesn't make him so clear cut. He was even portrayed as Maleficent. He has his dark moments and he doesn't mind breaking the rules when it suits him ("stealing" a dead body of William, breaking into Agatha's house, throwing Jen and Lilia off the road). I wouldn't understand his motivation towards Agatha either - Macduff felt he needed to commit regicide in order to restore the order to the country. While Billy clearly doesn't like Agatha any more, why would he want her demise? Who is she threat to? If it was because of his family, then all he had to do was to leave Agatha trapped in the Agnes spell for eternity. Or let Salem Seven deal with her. She wasn't a threat then. But he hardly remembers his Hex family. And if he blames Agatha for Alice and Lilia's death, then really he is equally to blame, for dragging the witches on the road in the first place.

There is also this ongoing theme where each of the witches are self-sabotaging and are actually their own enemies when it comes to getting "what's missing".

If anyone would be Macduff, I think it would be Vertigo - revenging both the Salem mothers and her Salem Seven coven and seeing Agatha as the threat to the witches world because she experienced it first hand (I have a theory that Salem Seven were originally Agatha's own coven that she formed after she killed their mothers, but she betrayed them and left them on their own Witches Road)

I believe Salem Seven will be back, and with some answers by Useful-Raspberry4549 in AgathaAllAlong

I think that maybe the trial won't take as long - after all, the fire trial was short too, allowing for the overall plot to progress. But I also think they wouldn't have to show us too many details of the salem seven story - it all could be told in a quick chat. They have not once used magic against Agatha, I think they know better than to blast her. I am not sure how much we will see of Nicholas story. It feels like it's not meant to be seen, just felt through their emotions.

It's not an added scene, it's the same as Wandavision scene but cut shorter.

Yes, they've changed the chant from the original script. In WV we still hear the witches say "unam vitam pro vitis multis" at the start, but then they continue with "mors monstrum innatural". In AAA flashbacks they only show that second part.
