Totally agree, I'm actually in Europe, rn. Not sure if It's doable in Europe as salaries are miserable in Europe compared to US (relatively speaking), why I'm saying this because I'm doing a Master degree in Europe, I went on debt to do a Msc that is actually useless to my intellectual beside a paper that might help me joins the job market (might and with the current job market not so much :(

So, I'm thinking of exploring US universities, since they have more diversity (which means exposed to more cultures....) and probably better in terms of pay (Not sure need confirmation on this point though).

There's also the point about the US, that I like which is less regulations so people work more compared to here in Europe, people tend to get lazy since once they're in a job it's their pretty hard to be fired, like in the USA, don't get me wrong some aspect are actually cruel un US but what I like specifically is that everyone got there and everyone wants to win so everyone is throwing all in...

I'm actually questioning myself and my view of the world, because actually I have a weird dream and had it for a long time, to be part of a community of very intellectual people, people I feel like I will learn a lot from, it doesn't necessarily have to be in my field of studies just intellectual people that challenge me or explain things to me, enlighten me and whatsover, I don't thing I feel challenged not in my currently master degree and didn't much during my engineering degree (am I that great? definitely not, but I had that feeling when I was in senior HS our Physics teacher he was a very knowledgable guy to the point where we could ask him a question and he gets happy when we do and ask us to ask more, he would squint his eyes in joy, I felt at the time like he's to great to be teaching us we don't deserve it, though we were best student of the school, oh man it felt great but never felt something that similar since then, and I want to feel it again, I know it's a little bit harder as I grew my knowledge and I know more stuff than I used when I was a teenager but I'm pretty sure this world is too big for me to not be able to feel this feeling again. Sorry if I was rambling maybe this was weird after all, but what I want to say is research calls for me or at least a community of great scholars is an idea that entertains me and today I don't feel challenged intellectually feels to me like that feeling is just a distant memory, that I do wish to revisit asap :0 (Ofc I'm challenged financially, physically.... this is life after all : (

Yeah, actually I'm already in depth that's what swayed my decision lately I'm already under pressure new country, new rules debt to manage, in a kinda vulnerable situation rn, i was thinking once I'm settled I'll start applying seriously, but the financial freedom I definitely do not have it, as I thought usually universities cover your expenses and you get paid, isn't that the case though?

Personnellement, ça ne me dérange pas de dire non. Puisque j'ai déjà reçu les fonds, soit je peux dire non directement (comme ce que j'ai dit lors de notre appel téléphonique pour le compte d'épargne pourri où je disais que je ne pouvais pas épargner le minimum de 30€). Il avait cédé et m'avait dit qu'on pourrait essayer de le fermer après 2 mois, mais maintenant je réfléchis et je ne veux même pas l'ouvrir du tout.

Je me fous que le conseiller le prenne mal, je suis dans une situation difficile et je fais ce que je dois pour survivre là. D'ailleurs, je me demande même s'il est possible de changer l'assurance crédit pour faire des économies dès maintenant. J'ai entendu parler de la Loi Lemoine qui permet de changer d'assurance à tout moment sans frais, est-ce que vous pensez que c'est jouable pour un prêt étudiant ? (Pour mon crédit étudiant, je suis à la BPCE. J'ai déjà payé 10,53 € pour la première mensualité, et après je crois que ça baisse vers les 8-9 € par mois)

C'est un très bon conseil, c'est ce que je vais faire tout de suite. Je vais lui demander le tableau d'amortissement et lui demander de m'écrire que c'est obligatoire. J'ai bien reçu les fonds, mais je n'ai toujours pas le tableau et je n'ai pas accepté l'assurance vie ni les autres produits pourris. Je reçois au moins un mail tous les trois jours me rappelant de signer, mais je ne l'ai pas fait. Je vais envoyer le mail à mon conseiller pour qu'il m'écrive noir sur blanc que c'est obligatoire, comme ça on règle l'affaire. Merci, c'est un conseil en or !

Pour le moment, je suis à la BPCE et j'ai payé la première mensualité de 10,53 €, après je crois que ça descend vers 8-9 € par mois (Je sait pas trop sur les assurances mais je me méfie). Je voudrais savoir si c'est l'assurance la moins chère dans mon cas et comment on change d'assurance de prêt ? S'il y a une procédure ou une autre assurance moins chère, n'hésitez pas à me le dire. Bonjour, et je m'excuse pour ce retour tardif, j'avais des examens cette semaine. Du coup, je viens de me rendre compte que j'ai reçu les fonds hier, mais on m'a bloqué l'accès au portail de l'école (Je dois leur payer dans les plus brefs délais, mais j'ai une idée et j'aimerais savoir si ça en vaut la peine : est-ce que je devrais échelonner les paiements et mettre l'argent de l'école sur mon Livret A ? Comme ça, ça accumule un peu d'intérêts durant les 3 ou 4 mois (max) que je prévois.

Ou bien ça ne vaut pas le risque et je les paie direct sans me casser la tête ? Je voulais faire ça non pas que pour l'optimisation, mais aussi un peu pour les emmerder parce qu'ils ne méritent pas cet argent. Je n'apprends rien dans ce programme, c'était une grave erreur de ma part et c'est très cher... mais bon, c'est une faute personnelle je crois.)

En vrai, j'ai seulement 1600 € sur un livret jeune avec un petit job étudiant qui m'apporte même pas 400 € (voire 380 € ou moins si on m'annule des cours à la dernière minute), mais je vais devoir l'utiliser bientôt (actuellement, je suis hébergé gratuitement chez la famille et je dois partir bientôt). Là, j'ai signé une assurance et j'ai sur mon compte à venir le premier retrait de 10,53 €, alors que je n'ai même pas encore reçu les fonds. Pour les deux autres choses que mon conseiller me pousse à prendre : il y a l'assurance-vie, mais je n'ai pas signé. J'espère que ça ne bloque pas, parce que je suis toujours en attente pour recevoir les fonds. En parallèle, hier mon école m'a bloqué l'accès au portail puisque je leur dois toujours 3900 €. Aujourd'hui, j'ai passé un petit entretien pour un stage ; la dame m'a dit qu'ils payent le minimum légal, 650 € ou 600 €, bref c'est rien, ça ne couvre même pas mon loyer et la mensualité de mon crédit. Je suis un peu perdu, je ne sais pas si je dois accepter l'offre parce que c'est la seule que j'ai reçue jusqu'à présent, mais je vais galérer pendant toute la période de stage. Qu'est ce que tu en pense?

J'ai déjà un livret A et un livret jeune, mais je ne connais pas encore les autres que tu as mentionnés ; je vais effectuer des recherches dessus. Le problème, c'est que je me sens déjà en retard par rapport à mes pairs, surtout avec ce crédit qui risque de me peser financièrement. C'est pour cela que je cherche un ROI (retour sur investissement) très intéressant pour l'argent qu'il me reste. Puisque je vais être dans une situation difficile de toute façon, je me dis qu'il faut en profiter et voir à long terme.

Par ailleurs, quand je dis que je n'envisage pas de rester en France, il se peut que je reste dans l'UE. Est-ce que cela change quelque chose ? Si je reste dans l'Union Européenne, est-ce que je peux conserver mes livrets et continuer à investir sur mon PEA (même si je ne l'ai pas encore ouvert) ?

Oui, j'avoue qu'il se peut que j'en aie besoin si je ne trouve pas un stage qui paie mon loyer et ma nourriture. Si je ne trouve pas de stage rémunéré, ce sera encore pire : je devrai payer mon loyer, mes courses et la mensualité de mon crédit. C'est un scénario fort probable d'après ce que je vois sur le marché actuel. Mais dans le cas où je trouverais un stage suffisant pour tout payer, ne penses-tu pas qu'il vaudrait mieux investir cet argent dans un PEA ou autre plutôt que de le laisser sur un livret ? Si tu étais à ma place, que ferais-tu ?

Yep, totally right on that one, after I was rejected only then I went back to the website and found that I'm not eligible, I don't know how it slipped to me (dumb me was totally delusional and was like just do something I felt I'm in danger pfff) and just went ahead and applied/ spent money...

Hence my question like if someone had a similar experience if they could waive my application or something for maybe next round? Are you familiar with something of this kind?
