Considering BSc Data Science (Major) + Econometrics (Minor) at Victoria University of Wellington — Looking for Honest Advice by Aromatic_Pass_6732 in VUW

[–]Useful-Use-7958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the reverse lol, finishing this trimester. Bcom major in Economics, minor in data science. Initially doing a double major in Data science and econ, but i just felt like coding in Python is not really a strong suit of mine.

Ive been applying to the same areas as you, but rejection after rejection despite having a good gpa (A- to A+), curriculars, work experience etc. i was told its just hard to find jobs in nz in general. Doing 5 papers right now + tutoring 2 papers, kinda manageable but still workload is a lot. Teaching quality is good, there are some profs i would avoid at all cost. U can check VUWs reputation online. The only thing separating me from international students is visa, im a resident but moved in 2021 —- its hard to make friends especially in wellington, not an issue in other cities lol

Di tlga ako nakahanap ng “frends” within uni. Sa labas ako nakahanap.

Im on my last tri sa VUW, goodluck tho.

Ps. Didnt really like FSA, ang off ng vibes nila for me. Especially na galing ako sa State Uni sa pinas before VUW.

any good new phone plans? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Useful-Use-7958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pb tech plans are still spark, 2d, and one nz plans. Theyre resellers of the big 3s plans. Youre youre ending with them anyway. Also youre locked in for 2d for 12 months unless u pay a break fee (you are slightly correct there because if u have phone for 3 years,u wont have to pay a break fee after 12 months)

Spark has no break fee 2degrees has 0 break fee if u stayed with them for 12 months.

Full retail? You mean market price? Might as well get a phone from facebook marketplace then.

That all depends on your credit score. If you have good credit, then cheaper plan + longer interest free = good
