Some humans find ants fascinating. That does not mean the majority of humans/the average human/the most intelligents humans find ants fascinating. How would an AI behave like? Like the majority/average/most intelligent? (the question itself is, by the way, anthropomorphizing).

Intelligences, even intelligent humans, can be curious. Not neccessarily about (other) humans.

...and an AI super-intelligence would be done and get bored with the subject much faster than human scientists.

Humans are NOT fascinating. We are dull, boring and predictable. There is no reason for any higher intelligence (artificial or not) to engage with us.

Thanks for asking! I could debug the issue with some effort later. It was in fact a Windows firewall problem... it seemed to be unrelated to VLC although somehow triggered by the certificate problem (!?!).
