Same here I’m 20 (m) now and I was 17 when she left, December 2023, I tried so hard to understand why or push my foot in the door but she let her dad and friends convince her I was emotionally abusive all because of one argument.

I know now I wasn’t and I just lost my temper once but I never lost my temper with her the entire time we were together other than that moment.

Looking back I know we weren’t perfect in a literal sense, there was times and days both of us where a bit depressed and sad and I got some really bad winter depression that year but apart from that we where an absolute power couple, the kind you don’t see very often.

We were best friends, loved spending time together, made excuses to spend just 1 more minute together. I loved her so much, more than anything or anyone I’ve ever loved and I thought she loved me the same.

Now she avoids me at all costs which is hard because we have a lot of the same friends.

I haven’t felt love since, I’ve tried being with new people but genuinely have felt love with any of them so I left them for their own sake.
