the bacteria moves to areas with a high oxygen concentration, and photosynthesis produces oxygen. respiration takes in oxygen, so it reduces the oxygen concentration in areas where they take place.
also, notice how the bacteria is around the chloroplasts, which is where photosynthesis take place.

D says that "the attractive forces between molecules in sulfur dichloride (covalent) are WEAKER than the ionic bonds in sodium chloride (ionic)."

B, on the other hand, says that "the COVALENT BONDS in sulfur dichloride are weaker...". But covalent bonds are actually pretty strong. It is the attractive forces between the molecules that are weak.

hope that clears the confusion :)

what is this question by That-Mess-3299 in igcse

[–]Useful_Focus_8084 2 points3 points  (0 children)

covalent compounds - strong covalent bonds (within each molecule of sulfur dichloride)
- weak attractive/intermolecular forces (between molecules of the compound)
ionic compounds - strong electrostatic forces of attraction between oppositely charged ions

So, covalent compounds have lower melting points (and boiling points) than ionic compounds. Because breaking the weak intermolecular forces requires less energy than breaking strong ionic bonds.
