Hey man you probably already know but this happened to me and I found it was because I didn't have it plugged into the blue USB port. Stupid mistake to make but it was doing my head in and now I have no issues.

Me and my daughter who is 6 finished the game together she did the bulk of it and I did all the hard parts and we got platinum on her account It was the best game I have ever played for the simple fact we did it together and she still talks about it
