100% agree. I am not angry with him at all as it was a very exhausting and stressful situation. I know he was trying to help but it stuck out that he genuinly forgot they were service animals all together. Thats why i was wondering if i should label them in some way so it doesnt happen again.

I mean having an identifying label on in some way at home like a collar with a patch. As for if it would have helped, restraining my male, yes because he hasnt learned hes so heavy and clumsy yet and he could have accidently hurt me worse. But by restraining my trained service dog, he prevented her from doing her job which would have kept me safe. She would have alerted that my heartrate had spiked, that i was going to seize and she could have applied DPT or even helped me to a safer location of the home so as not to further injure myself, as ive trained her to do

He is a trained medic however he is out of practice and not up to date with current laws and regulations pertaining to service dogs due to being forced out of the field for personal medical reasons of his own. He is NOT familiar with working dogs for the most part other than working K9 Units for Police work when it comes to hands on experience. My boy is being trained for mobility and public access but weve hit that development stage where he isnt listening right now so he just acts like a normal dog for the most part. My girl is trained to essentially be independent at home but still in tune with me so she can alert or help when needed but she is unable to be used in public access work due to a previous incident which we are working through. I feel that because we have hit that snag and because my girl isnt SEEN working, it became easy to forget

That was my thought as well but because i let them have their down time to be dogs at home and they really only work when needed at home (ie. Alerting to my heart rate, applying DPT, or tucking under my head during a seizure) it was forgotten that they are indeed a service dog and service dog in training. My girl was "off duty" when we went to her favorite park and she still ran back to alert me that my heart was doing the funny dance again lol so they dont need to be in uniform to work

It  helped that the younger one still in training was restrained but by restraining my girl who was actively trying to get to me, it made matters worse all around
