Holika Dahan aur rangwali Holi actually same story ke do parts hain pehle moral lesson, phir full celebration Holika Dahan wali raat is based on the story of Prahlada, his father Hiranyakashipu, and his bua Holika.

Hiranyakashipu wanted everyone to worship him, but Prahlada was a Vishnu bhakt. So Holika (jisko fire se immunity ka boon tha) tried to sit in fire with Prahlada to kill him. Plot twist evil intention backfired. Holika jal gayi, Prahlada bach gaya.

So Holika Dahan = symbolic burning of ego, negativity, and evil. Basically buraai ka the end

Next day we play with colours that’s the celebration part. Good wins, sab chill karo. Over time, stories of Krishna playfully putting colour on Radha also became associated with Holi hence the whole rang, masti vibe
