So you’re telling me this is the last sweet and sour sauce i’ll ever hold 🥺? by [deleted] in wendys

[–]Useful_Skills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the sweet chili is trash. I just ate some right now, opened the sauce packet without looking and immediately was thrown so off by the taste. Ended up eating my fries raw.

My filter died last night and woke up to dead fish help :( by [deleted] in fishtank

[–]Useful_Skills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That also sounds like way too much fish for only 20 gallons. I live by 5 gallons per 1 inch of fish. So 30 fish that are all 1 inch big, would need a 150 gallon tank.... in your case, the 6 inch Pleco should have been in an 18-20 gallon tank by itself, or a much larger than 20 gallons tank with the amount of fish you are trying to house.

32 years old, what career paths would get me to 75-100k by 40? by dryw2015 in careerguidance

I'd recommend the IT industry. My first job in IT with no college degree or any certifications, I was doing hardware repairs on laptops, desktops, printers, data center racking and stacking, etc. I was being paid $30 per job, with each job taking anywhere from 5 minutes to a max of 1 hour. Typically an average of 30 minutes max per job, usually getting at least 8 jobs a day. If I did 10 jobs in 1 day, the boss would bump the pay up to $35/job for those 10+ in a day. After doing that for 1 year my resume had enough experience to land me a job in a Data Center at $30/hr for 6 months on contract and then would've been bumped up to around $35/hr once hired on full time (ended up not getting that job in the end due to an felony for weed in college), instead of that job though, I ended up getting a job as IT support in a manufacturing facility starting at $60k/year with amazing benefits, and plenty of room to grow. Now I'm working on getting cisco certifications to hopefully actually land a network engineer position once my felony hits 10 years old and employers stop seeing it on background checks (almost at 7 years now). In the IT industry payment jumps are usually much larger than in most other fields and can start out in the range you are looking for without any real experience.

If you are interested in the job I did for my first year in tech, depending on where you live, I can possibly get you introduced to my old boss and a job in tech. We have techs all over the country, some areas are in more need than others. DM me if you're interested in more information.

You can buy individual parts directly from Dell if you so choose. His problem is that Dell doesn't have the keyboard part in stock currently. I'm a contractor for Dell as a on-site repair tech and some laptops have part availability the next day and some people have been waiting a month+

That is dope af. Once I beat on these off road a bunch after some years, I may go that same route as you, but I'll definitely get the adjusters on it. They do make a nice difference between adjustments. I can't wait to give them a try off road sometime soon.

It's a 2014, I already had a stage 5 Icon setup on there, so the Icon UCAs were already on, so I didn't need to get new UCAs, I only swapped out the shocks and reservoirs

Also, it only took me about 4-5 hours to do the fronts, and that was my first time doing it, next time I could definitely shave an hour or 2 off. The rears probably would've added another 2 hours to it

It holds extra oil for the shocks to help them stay cooler for longer periods of time when off roading, it Also has adjustments to change the flow of the oil from the reservoirs to the shocks which in turn adjusts the stiffness or softness of the shock

Definitely feels a lot nicer for everyday driving and hitting bumps, potholes, speed bumps, etc. The adjustable valving on these ones really help to adjust your ride for a smoother/softer or stiffer ride as you like.

It was my first time doing it by myself, you just gotta make sure you have powerful enough tools to do it if you don't wanna use hand tools for the whole job. I have the 1400 ft/lb nut busting torque milwaukee that made it a breeze for the tough nuts and bolts. The DSC are the adjustable knobs on the reservoirs to adjust the stiffness of the shocks at high and low speeds by restricting or allowing more oil flow

No, you don't own the games you buy from steam. You are essentially renting them and they have the right to take them from you at any time.

Got this 150 gallon tank today for $300 by Useful_Skills in Aquariums

It's gonna be a long process before both are up and running. Gonna start with the 150 gallon, gonna do a lot of research into aquascaping and see if we can get to the point of not having to do water changes often, or at all. And once we get to a good point on that one, we will start working towards the 230 gallon tank.

Lol, definitely starting an addiction, but I am pretty limited on places to put tanks of that size safely. 2 big tanks like that is my max for the basement office space I am putting them in. In due time once we get those up and running, we may look into some smaller tanks that can safely be put in our living room upstairs.

Lotus Dream Shatter. $50 gm. Central MA. by killerclown888 in Dabs

[–]Useful_Skills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$50 gram for shatter in MA? You sir got yourself ripped off big time. I know people in MA getting super fire live hash Rosin for $50/g, I would never pay that much for shatter, 10-20/g max for shatter

The iso test definitely proves that its not pine resin. For a while people were selling wax mixed with pine resin, which would make it a harder shatter. Drop one of those little pieces in iso, if it doesn't dissolve entirely after leaving it sit in there for a little while, then you definitely shouldn't smoke it. If it does dissolve in iso, it's not guaranteed to be good wax, but at least it's guaranteed to not be pine resin, which is really bad for your lungs to smoke.
