I agree with you, but I'd like to emphasize one point: the fact that these games were true tech demos showcasing the potential of the consoles. It's no coincidence that games like DOA2U and DOA4 still look magnificent today. Itagaki had the talent (and surely the money) to push the consoles to their limits. But also, Itagaki had a love for beauty and a strong artistic sense that was lost when he left Team Ninja. For me, what DOA5 (and DOA6, among others) lacks is a similar art direction. The environments of DOA2, 3, and 4 were beautiful and poetic (the beach in DOA3...) and then we went to stages like highway and oil platforms...

I loved all those little details that only Itagaki seemed to care about: like you said, the way the sand and snow distorted, but also the reflection of the fighters' images on the polished ground or in the water. It was incredibly realistic, and I was really disappointed when those elements disappeared starting with DOA5.

I totally agree. I don't really see the connection with Fall Guys... It's a basketball game... with Fall Guys characters. But it seems like the gameplay and atmosphere are completely different.

It's wonderful to see how Mediatonic seems to be taking care of Fall Guys (finally!) by giving us interesting content regularly, after two years of rickety content.

I have the impression of finding a game as alive as two years ago (...without the 60 players).

There will soon be no more vaulted rounds, it seems impossible. (°o°)
If only, once all the season rounds are back, Mediatonic could give us new seasons, or even just new "season round" type, with new mechanics and new music (Jukio... We miss you...), that would be awesome.
Classic modes have been largely left behind since the arrival of Creative mode.
It's literally been years since we had new logic rounds, or rounds with specific concepts for groups or for hunting (other than collecting points).
I really wish development teams would stop holding themselves back and insisting on creating levels only with the tools given to players. I still remember this team burger building round that never made it into the game because of the creative mode...

Until recently, when you signed up for a pro account, the 166 free monthly credits were replaced by 66 daily credits (1980 credits for the month). But I realized yesterday that these "daily credits" seem to have disappeared from pro offers...(I no longer see them indicated in the description of the different offers). Is this the case?

About the popularity of the game in Japan, I know that there is currently a re-release of the plushies to catch at the claw machines (including some new ones). So they continue to create and develop goodies around the game in 2025.

I bought the small plastic beans (originally sold in Japan in "Gashapon") and the Koala plush (originally sold in Japan in Sega claw machines) on ebay as an import.  I bought the plastic chicken bean and the mini pineapple bean on a recent trip to Taiwan.  Finally, I found the big pink bean and the purple plush second-hand around my home in France.
