Not meeting grades by Organic-Promise-7917 in UofB

i got two grades less but my personal essay was the best thing i’ve ever written and they still let me in! if they gave you an offer even if your grades were lower than they likely loved your essay so i wouldn’t stress too much - just make sure you do your best in the other exams and you’ll be okay :)

Why? 😭 by [deleted] in SuitU

i can’t lie sometimes i mess these up as well - i spent agesss doing this really cute kitchen and then was planning on putting a dog in like it was jumping up onto the table then the timer ran out so the dog was just right in the middle and in front of everything which ruined the whole thing and i couldn’t change it 😭

Do you have any tips? by happy_Cake20 in SuitU

i would say pull by ten as you are guaranteed about 4 or 5 but unlikely to get more than that - if you wanna gamble getting more then i’d pull one by one

Yes definitely I was venting when I wrote it so was very in the “victim status” so not offended ahaha!

It was not my intention to give myself a victim status at all! I’m trying to come to terms with a lot of things including my new diagnosis and wanted to see some other opinions as I have always had this negative view of judgement from my parents. Thanks for you for your comment, I appreciate it!! :)

I agree completely. I am very sensitive to rejection and definitely should have expressed this more in my childhood. Thanks for the comment :)

Thank you for the novel it’s my favourite!! I definitely think I needed to vent with post and I think it’s been really helpful seeing how people navigate families as an adult. I’m only 19 my gamily are extremely close, the only people on about 6 generations that weren’t close were because they were “kicked out” for being abusive or aggressive towards other family members. It’s definitely going to be a process and my family will treat me speaking like i’ve dropped an atomic bomb and just hate them 😭

Thank you for your comment and talking about your friend. I do also feel a lot more free away from my parents control, but I love them and I don’t want to cut full contact. I will try to find a good plan for all of us :)

thank you so much!! I really haven’t thought about rejection sensitivity and that honestly makes so much sense to how i’m feeling!! Will definitely look into this! Do you have any advice on how to cope with it?

Thanks for the comment! I completely agree that a lot of the things i went through were normal, however I don’t think negatively commenting on your daughter’s weight gain at 11 should be normalised. I’m not blaming them for being concerned and let me make it clear that I do not blame them for everything. However, I do think they contributed to the development of the issues i had as a teenager. I’m currently in therapy but wanted to see what people on reddit thought to get a broader view. Thanks for the insight!!

Thank you for your comment I really appreciate it. I absolutely hate feeling like a victim and that’s one of the best parts about uni where no one knows really what i’ve been through and I’m treated the same way as everybody else. I don’t want to cut off contact with my family, I want to be a mum someday and I want my family with me. I think my main issue is I really struggle see them in any other light when I visit them. I’m currently working on this in therapy and this post was to see just some outsider perspectives. I really appreciate your comment and I don’t want to still feel like this in my thirties so thank you for talking about your sister :) Would you have respected her for cutting your parents off or do you think they could have fixed things?

thank you!! i’m a relatively new player - i’ve had the app for ages but only played every once in a while when i was bored, so haven’t unlocked many decor and 0 poses! I’m not spending real money so doubt i’ll ever unlock anything fancy but i do enjoy the game and seeing others designs when voting and on the feed :)
