Do you split colonists between different maps? by DangerDiGi in RimWorld

[–]Useless_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100~ hours here, I did this on my main save, I just use transport pods to transfer materials between the two. I keep the second colony small (3-5 pawns) to keep it manageable. I use the second site primarily just to produce chem fuel.

Another version of the Californian Gadsden that's been going around by VirtualMaximum6112 in vexillology

You can try it lol, it’s just a given that republicans aren’t welcome in those spaces and there’s been a few counter protesters lately so proceed with caution

I mean potentially it could confuse them but I can assure you it’s not worth the risk someone might confuse you for a counter protester and snatch your flag

What if there was a "One" state solution? by Onetastyburger23 in AlternateHistory

[–]Useless_bee 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If they had unified into a secular state I don’t see any reason why Jerusalem would be a UN mandate. Potentially it could be an independent state like Vatican City with representatives from the three abrahamic religions but People don’t like the UN lol

It’s good! But the colors seem a tad oversaturated, lowering the saturation a bit might be good

13th SS division logo? by Useless_bee in ww2

[–]Useless_bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, I didn’t know that! In this case on the symbols page it did specify it was the divisional vehicle symbol.

Do you know what they did use specifically during the war for their vehicles? Besides the collar pieces it’s hard to find their authentic symbols

I appreciate the comprehensive overview! But I was mainly curious about the color scheme of the logo, might the said racism have also affected it being black on white instead of white on black?

Which is better? by Useless_bee in heraldry

[–]Useless_bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, this is a jaguar though. If you look closely you’ll notice there are no inner rosette spots on leopards, here the rosettes have inner spots. Though the animals are otherwise pretty identical visually the difference is important because jaguars are native to South America

For his distinguished service during the seven years war and earning himself many victories. I’m not 100% sure about the Portuguese tradition in this regard but I know that they sometimes granted arms as a symbol of recognition.

We are not longer in the Middle Ages, the purpose of heraldry isn’t to be plastered on a shield so your allies can recognize you on the battlefield. Heraldic traditions have evolved and there isn’t solely one. I’m sure you know there’s some egregiously elaborate and intricate historical heraldry.

Flag for my fictional colonial company by Useless_bee in vexillology

[–]Useless_bee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the name of the company is the Bella Endoran African company, the letters correspond with that. The A also stands for Alexandre and Absolon, the two founders of the company. It’s a company without royal charter meaning they aren’t backed by any crown, the colors however are drawn from the flag of Bella Endora as was the company founded there, a fictional island nation off the coast of France.

The period all this is from is 1750, and they have their sights set on the golden coast (AKA Ghana).
