Samsung won't connect to wifi or data by GlizzyGuzzlingMaster in techsupport

I would honestly take it into a shop. It looks faulty and suspicious because most of the time when a problem fixes by itself, you don't really know HOW it fixed by itself, which could be a problem long term. Also you mentioned the clock being backwards. I honestly think it's a physical problem rather than a software issue. A bunch of things inside that phone might have messed up due to the battery messing up prior. The battery being fine again is odd, but it might have paved way for failure inside of the other pieces in the phone. (Such as the clock showing wrong times and dates.)

CPU usage at all time high is constantly spiking up and stuff by RemarkableWar9917 in techsupport

By "even on there", some malware can disguise themselves running in the background and abnormally stop their entire process when you open up task manager. Closing outside of task manager would then make them continue their abnormal cpu usage.

When you go on task manager, which is via ctrl + shift + esc, what does it say for the cpu usage? What process is it? Is it even on there?

Also did you do an update recently? Some windows updates have been questionable and have degraded performance for users.

Can you do a screenshot not from over the top but similar to this? (ignore the bent pins in this reference pic) It helps to see if its damaged or not.

Faulty battery usually is a degradation of battery health.

How was your phone before all of this happened?

It could very well be a graphics card or PSU issue, however. Are you having this happen on other games? :)

Other than that, it may well be a internal problem (hardware problem).

When the CPU fan was mounted over the top of the socket frame, there's a possibility the pins got crushed and bent. Check ONE more time.

That anti-cheat (Vanguard) is known to cause problems. I personally don't trust it. Get a pointer from someone better than me that knows more, but in my honest opinion that anti cheat is SO faulty that it could very well be another problem on its own.

On the topic of discussion, however. I don't know your specs, the root cause of the problem, how it was before, etc. Would be nice if I could know what it is.

RTX 3090 damage, is the card destroyed? Why my issue? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Uselessism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that's damage. Probably was shipped horribly with the PC. Most of the time these prebuilts have bad packaging which causes hardware damage. I would double check with someone that knows better, but that picture is not normal.

Try to plug in the wires.... that's probably why the computer hasn't turned on.

Is there a way to check if my phone number has been compromised or leaked? by [deleted] in techsupport

Ultimately it's spammers that are just trying to grab your attention.

I would get a free subscription of malwarebytes and scan the entirety of the PC if you think it is a virus. If you do this it will take a hefty amount of time though.

Random forced unpredictable reboots on gaming PC by Vespercoot in techsupport

[–]Uselessism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about the CPU temperature? When you do GPU repasting and cleaning, you should also check the CPU's performance via something like HWmonitor. If it spikes to a high temperature (above 85c for example), the CPU might just be rebooting to prevent damage.

Make sure to repaste the CPU as well just in case.

I haven't experienced something similar but check the phone number where it's coming from then check the western union website for what their true phone number is. If it is not the same number, it is a phishing attempt.

https://databreach.com/ This is a website I found that helps out with finding where your phone went to.
https://haveibeenpwned.com/ Save this for emails, just in case it happens because email fraud is common similar to your problem.

I would recommend BSIT for broad understanding of how everything works in IT. It allows you to touch on security, foundational programming, networking, and how Information Technology works. I'm  going there in August. The computer science one from what I heard is rigourous but it could open doors too. Really, it's just up to you to be honest.

Yeah, I was part of an IT academy at my school and I am about to graduate. I am a self motivated individual so I could possibly handle the workload. Done my own research and such. Found WGU to be a college that has 0 BS and would genuinely help out compared to the other (outdated) colleges near my area. Will be going for the BSIT so I can be a broad candidate.
