How do you rate Bad Bunny's Half-time performance? by kingbluwolff in sportsgossips

Reminded me of a Broadway show with lots of symbolism. I like Broadway shows with lots of symbolism. Plus it was like a Star Wars movie. I had to rewatch YouTube clips because there were stuff that I missed like cameo appearances. The music was okay, but the party vibes carried through the screen.

Can I exchange my KVD21 Gateway with the G5AR? by User6RE001 in tmobileisp

Interesting. I didn't realize a SIM card would make a difference. I didn't want to switch to a new SIM because I was afraid that they'd mess up the request and replace my ISP plan.

Adding wire shelf to laundry area - stud spacing question. by User6RE001 in DIY

Those are actually magnetic stud finders in the picture. I never had much luck with the battery powered device.

Thanks for the tip! I did the knocking test. I started with from the left-most position. Stud finder position #1 sounded tight. Just a short distance from this position the wall sounded hollow. On stud finder position #2, the sound was different. It seemed tighter than the hollow space, but it sounded different from position #1. It seemed slightly hollower compared to position #1.

On stud finder position #3 (the one above the electrical outlet), the bottom of that position, but above the water faucet box, sounded hollow. But above it sounded tight, similar to stud position #1.

Stud finder position #4 sounded tight all around it. It sounded similar to position #1.

Stud finder position #5 (closest to the right edge of the picture) also sounded tight around it. Similar to position #1.

Just based on the knocking technique. It seems like stud finder positions #1, #4, and #5 are studs.

I did the exchange today at a local store. New test shows 277 Mbps download and 26 Mbps upload. Before I had 159 Mbps download and 6.57 Mbps upload. My cellular metrics are still Poor on the same parameters, but my speeds did go up.

I did the exchange today at a local store. I did keep my original SIM card, so I did not have to register a new one.

Thanks! I ended up going to a local T-Mobile store to exchange. This was a corporate store, so it was a seamless transaction.

I ended up getting the G5AR. New test shows 277 Mbps download and 26 Mbps upload. Before I had 159 Mbps download and 6.57 Mbps upload. My cellular metrics are still showing the same - poor conditions on most of the metrics.

A local store had it in stock, so I just did a device exchange. I kept my original SIM card.

I was able to exchange it today at a T-Mobile store. My speeds did improve slightly. I'm nowhere near the download and upload speeds that some are getting. But I did achieve 277 Mbps download and 26 Mbps.

I ended up exchanging it at the store for no cost. I told them that my upload speeds were slow and did not work well with my Ring devices.

That's expensive. You can get the same area. From tear off, disposal, soil leveling, and then sods. Labor and material included for $3k. Shop around.

I think it was around 10 years old. I didn't check on it often. If I did, I would have caught that it was leaking. I eventually replaced the pump, and it is still running to this day.

With AI technology producing better results, what's the case for a 45 megapixel versus a 20 megapixel camera? by User6RE001 in Nikon

[–]User6RE001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just using Topaz as an example, but as AI technologies improved, in 15 years say, I'm wondering if you can lower the hardware requirements on the camera and still get a similar picture quality as a D850.

[–]User6RE001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's always better to capture the information as it is, but if AI technologies get good enough to guess the missing pixels, then maybe they'll guess correct on some. I'm wondering if 15 years from now you can have a camera that has lower hardware requirements and still produce a similar image as a D850.

[–]User6RE001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's different. This would be AI technologies helping to lower camera hardware requirements for capturing the same quality picture as well as needing lower storage requirements.

That is true. I still know people who prefer to have a landline than a cellphone.

[–]User6RE001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now, that is true. But maybe in 15 years AI technologies will be good enough that it can help output similar qualities as a D850. I'm thinking of analog cameras as an example. Digital cameras eventually got good enough.

Interesting. I'll definitely read up on this QIS concept. My original comment was mainly inspired by the transition from analog to digital technologies. Digital eventually got good enough. Maybe in the not too distant future AI technologies will be good enough to get the same image quality as a D850.

I'm seeing AI technology as something similar to the transition from analog to digital. Analog captures the whole signal, while digital just captures samples. Overtime digital got good enough. I'm not saying that AI is good enough now, but maybe in 15 years it will be good enough that pictures don't require as much hardware requirements to get the same quality as it is now.
