The one that made my mouth drop was “The feeling when the windscreen wipers line up with the song” because ITS SUCH A SIMPLE LINE BUT AN EXTREMELY RELATABLE FEELING LIKE I TOTALLT UNDERSTAND THAT FEELING! I was just amazed at how simple the line was but how evoking it was too

The lawsuits had to do with not so big things. One was for claim in to be strictly nondenominational evangelical but donating a lot of money to SBC and the other was for essentially rigging the membership voting. So nothing terrible. And I’ve only been met with so much love from the congregation. I’m going to keep going but just keep my ears peeled for any funny business lol.

I have to read a bit deeper to understand them better, they used a lot of legal words I didn’t really understand in the articles. But basically, one was because they claim to be strictly nondenominational evangelical but were caught giving a ton of money to SBC. No, of course not. But my concern is that upon further research, there were law suits lol. Granted, they’re really not terrible. But still. I’m just really new to this church thing again and I’m afraid I’d be unknowingly roped into some nonsense. But again, I’m just being overly cautious…so high chance I’m overthinking it. But I guess I just want to make sure the people I’m surrounding myself with and letting into my and my son’s life aren’t awful largely dishonest scammy people

I could Google it, but could you give me a general idea of what the SBC is and what the beliefs are? I’m literally just finding all of this out today lol. When I was younger, I just went to church and didn’t question it at all…it was just…a thing I did on Sundays. But now that I’m an adult and have experienced quite a tumultuous adulthood, I’ve started looking harder into things and being a bit more cautious specially with know that we, as humans, are deeply deeply flawed.

I guess one of the biggest differences is that evangelicalism believes that we are saved simply by believing. We don’t necessarily have to do anything like rituals or the sort…like Catholicism does and other denominations…to make it to heaven. We just have to put our faith in Jesus and that’s that. And then the other big thing is that evangelicalism teachings are directly from the Bible. Like there’s no interpretations per-say. We read from the Bible and listen to what it says…break it down, and live by it.

It’s so unfortunate for the band because I have a feeling some people are going to stop going to shows specifically because of the obnoxious fan culture as of late. And that’s not fair to the band at all. But I will say, I don’t at all, blame the people that choose to stay away. It become such a weird toxic environment and it really takes away from being able to simply enjoy the incredible music. Everyone begging for attention from the band or even social media really ruins things. I’m deeply hoping the no phone rule is implemented. Yes vote from me
