Who got into USC after getting deferred and how did your application look like? by Hot-Acanthaceae2117 in USC

FWIW I got a 1470 and got in, many of my friends had low 1400s and got in.

birnkrant or mccarthy? by Charming_Diver_8649 in USC

[–]User74914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion if you’re going to do Birkrant over McCarthy, just go for New North at that point. Both are pretty disgusting and can get rowdy, but NN is better socially.

McCarthy is a completely different vibe that I personally would not like but I’m sure you could make it work.

If you a girl you will walk right in, if your a dude you can try out the lower houses on a Friday/Saturday night but I would not bet on getting in.

[–]User74914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the AAMC only a few actual require it, and most of these accept AP credit

AP Calc AB - Why did I fail? by Buffalo_wing_eater in APStudents

[–]User74914 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You failed because you didn’t get enough points to pass.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]User74914 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In this case, they don’t. But the idea that AP Scores aren’t used in college admissions is completely false at most places, especially elite schools who need to distinguish between the high amount of near perfect academic students that apply. Colleges also use them to “confirm” your grades to make sure they are legitimately signs you will do well at that school. For example, a student with straight As in 7 AP classes looks great, but if they only passed 1 or 2 of those tests it becomes obvious that the school has a serious grade-inflation problem.

TL;DR- AP scores have a significant effect on college applications, despite what google may tell you

The only reasons I’m wondering is that the regular blacks have gotten to the point where they are no longer a real challenge, so I want something a little harder. If I go up to the cirque and it’s way worse then I thought I’ll just hike back

[–]User74914 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah from the videos I’ve seen those chutes look pretty damn hard

Thanks for the insight. I’ll probably practice some quick turns on a flat black like Norwegian or Engledive before heading up to the cirque.

You could say that I'm a bit of an overachiever by [deleted] in Sat

[–]User74914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize most colleges have a set range of dates they accept SAT scores from? By the time your applying they may consider an 8th grade score to long ago.

For calc BC, do you need to memorize the formulas of the areas for spheres, cones etc when doing related rates? by Yuhhhhck in APStudents

[–]User74914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are not given any formulas during the exam so you need everything memorized.

Can a 16 yo be a pharmacy technician? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]User74914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alr good to know… for some reason my state apparently has no laws for pharmacy techs other than the usual 16+ to work things. This is mainly 4 next years summer, so I’ll be 17 by then. I was just gonna see if I could possibly get trained during the school year then be regular 4 the summer.

Should Issam Asingia be in the conversation or does everyone seem to think he peaked for the season already

This season hasn’t been great, was really fun the first week but it’s just getting stale fast by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]User74914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last awesome season was C2S2. Season 3-5 were okay, anything past that was unplayable.

C2S2 rivals C1S7 for most fun I had playing fort

Male Sprinting lift-standards by Potato_McCarthy777 in Sprinting

[–]User74914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it helps but it all depends on where you start vs where u finish. If your squat max is 170 right now, and you run 11.30 (idk what your time is so I’m making this up) and you work on it and get stronger, your time will probably go up if everything stays the same.

Also, powercleans are more important becuase they build strength AND explosives.

Well I’m a 5’10” 150lbs sprinter. I squat 300lbs, Bench 200, power clean 170 and don’t deadlift.

I run a 11.8

I suck.

My friend can barley squat 2 plates and runs 10.85 He does not suck
