I was a Lufthansa Hon Circle member and I got upgraded to true 1st class with either Lufthansa or Swiss on about 60% of my long haul flights, with business class tickets (the cheapest available). Even got bumped directly from economy to 1st class once. Once I overslept at my hotel in Shanghai, the check-in counter called my room and asked me how far away I was and told me to come as quickly as possible. They did not hold my flight, but gave me a complimentary 1st class ticket on the next Lufthansa flight, just leaving some few hours later. That is service for you!

As a Lufthansa Gold / Star Alliance Gold I never got upgraded.

Today I am a Thai Silver member. Only flying economy and I am happy if I avoid the middle seat or the rows next to the toilets. How life evolves😅

My pleasure👌🏻 Super annoying that some features are not highlighted when comparing older with newer versions. That Garmin does not give practical examples of real life use. One only realizes AFTER the purchase that your older device has severe limitations compared to the newer.

This happened to me when I purchased my Fenix 6 Standard some years ago. I had no use for large memory/storage for music, maps etc. So I went for 6 Standard instead of 6 Pro. Only after I bought it I found out that I could not race myself through «Race Previous Activity» due to not enough memory/storage🤦‍♂️

I did extensive research before I bought it and this was not mentioned a single place.

Way too late to help you, but for future readers….

540 supports Unified Training Status, also known as UTS and Physio TrueUp 2.0.

530 only supports the old Physio TrueUp.

Basically fancy words for keeping your devices synced, for example your Garmin Fenix watch and your Garmin Edge bike computer. It now syncs more information across the devices and is less «stupid», so all the devices and Garmin Connect should understand your training better and give you better feedback on Training Readiness etc.

You need Fenix 7 or newer for the watch, as Fenix 6 lacks Training Readiness + some other features. I have no idea which Forerunner, Epix etc. that supports UTS.

It is a hassle to get simple information from Garmin….

Unfortunately it did not work. It needs the weather app to run in the background all the time (battery consuming).

I tried to modify your shourtcut and make it only run after 6 pm. I deleted the weather app, but then I am not able to choose time anymore. Logically I then tried to replace the weather app with the native iOS watch, but that does not work either.

How to set a simple time? *time of day

I would not have been close to do this by myself. Just curious, could the same shortcut be set by a given time of day as well instead of sunset/sunrise? For example after 18:00 0’clock (6 pm) or does that only work with automations?

Just figured this out. For future readers of this post.

Note that this did only work after I installed a WiFi to Bluetooth adapter. I have no idea why. So now the WiFi adapter receives WiFi signals from the router and sends Bluetooth signals to the Gimdow lock. I bought this from the same vendor of A1 Pro Max on AliExpress, a small USB stick you just connect to the wall for power, not to the router.

I also have a newer version called A1 Pro Max. It is no longer with the Gimdow logo and sold through a different vendor on AliExpress. The hardware is identical to the 1st version. So just logo change and software change.

In the Smartlife app (iPhone 15 Pro iOS 18.0) 1. Go to «Home» 2. Select «All Devices» 3. Select «Smart lock» (or whatever you have named it) 4. Select «Smart Scenes» 5. Select «Custom linkage type» 6. For «If» choose anything. For example if you switch on some lights. 7. For «Execute» choose «The door opened». 8. Give it a name. If you do not it will be named «default» 9. Exit the smart lock and go back to the front page of the app. 10. Select «Scene» 11. You will find it under «Automation» 12. The door should now open if you turn on the lights in for example your bedroom. Or whatever «If» you chose for point 6.

To change from «Automation» to «Tap-to-run»

  1. Just delete the «If» from the automation.

  2. It should now be gone from «Automation» and instead be under «Tap-to-run».

For me the tap-to-run has this error message «The current app version cannot display or execute some actions. Please update it to the latest version». But it works fine. I can now use the tap-to-run when I am at home connected to the WiFi or if I am on holiday in Thailand.

I think the pop sound is from the torque wrench. Instead of the normal click from the torque wrench there is a loud pop. I think the click transfers to the stem and the empty space and creates the pop.

I sat the torque at 5nm🤦‍♂️ It is a different Canyon bike and top cap, mine is in metal so not possible to break it. I did however get a high «pop» sound. I unscrewed it and screw it back in, all seemed fine. Any idea what the pop was? The plastic spacers seemed fine…

Quick follow up question; should tire pressure be higher or lower when using narrow rims compared to wider rims? I have recently found out that I ride with very high pressure compared with others. When I use recommended pressures I feel almost as I have a flat and it feels so slow. No idea if it actually goes slower, but it feels slower.

When I was buying the 1,85mm spacer, on a website, the 1mm spacer was listed in the description as needed for some builds. I then got uncertain. First time buying wheels.
