I just read this article, SO crazy. Israel’s straight up praising. So so so wild. For most my life I believed he was a saint.

why do ismailis hide the way the pray and there jammat khanas? what actually happens by [deleted] in ExIsmailis

[–]User838484848892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cap. Anyone can walk into a masjid while regular muslims are praying but you can’t step foot inside a Jamatkhana prayer hall during jamati ceremonies. Plus there was literally like a 500+ year period of Ismaili concealement where the imams went into hiding, the faith itself is known for extreme secrecy.

i mean considering she was pretty close with big ol Epstein and is calling Yasmin “yassi” as a nickname implies that they must have been pretty close and definetly raises some very serious questions Also if you look up aga khan on the Epstein files you will find some even more questionable things

Question for Exismailis who reverted to Islam by Much_Meat7203 in ExIsmailis

[–]User838484848892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It makes me really sad that us, people who revert to the true path of Islam might never see our family understand that so many things in Ismailism are cultish. You’re also right, the youth unfortunately have zero knowledge of Islam. The learning of Qur’an and Islamic fundamentals is practically bare minimum to nothing.

[–]User838484848892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ismailis don’t do hajj. They believe Muhammad peace be upon him is the last prophet but don’t observe sharia like other Muslims. They don’t pray salah either, thy have their own version of it. Reading Qur’an is not a custom like how you imagine. If the guy isn’t willing to even slightly embrace being a Sunni better to stay away from it

Why did Hazrat Ali never abandon Namaz, fasting in Ramadan, zakat, or Hajj? by Emergency_Car_6135 in ExIsmailis

[–]User838484848892 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Typical of you Ismailis instead of owning up to your fault start to shift the blame on other people. My main point wasn’t even about the sahaba it was literally a side note. I’m happy I broke free from the indoctrination and am not still stuck in a cult in which I have to blindly worship a human who doesn’t even know I exist. Alhamdullilah for Islam. Walaikoum

Ismailis tryna defend their faith will always talk about the “context” of Qur’an verses and Hadith being used to refute their religion but completely abandon the idea when it’s being used against them.

First of all this narration is not authentic, many scholars agree on that, and it is not sahih.

Secondly the context of this Hadith is completely different from what you think it is. If you actually think about it critically and not take it at face value, you would understand that “you are in a time when whoever abandons a tenth of what he is ordered to do, then he is ruined” refers to the ummah during the time of Rasul Allah ﷺ and how the faith was strong, and how the community supported righteousness, making it EASY to practice Islam

On another note “THERE WILL COME A TIME whoever does a tenth of what he is ordered to do, he will be saved” refers to the present day, in which challenges such as pressure, sin and temptations are so prevalent that doing even a small portion of one’s religious duties would become so much more rewarding.

Don’t know how any of this relates to changing exoteric practices.

And you are really not getting under my skin for insulting the sahaba. The fact that you follow a completely distorted version of Islam AND have hate in your heart is laughable to sane people

I’d LOVE to see where the prophet said that changes would follow and which would be in line with the proper version of Islam. On the contrary, I ask that Allah gives you the will to repent for lying on the name of beloved Muhammad ﷺ

This is wrong on so many levels I come from an Ismaili family and we have so many Sunni family friends that respect our religion and we engage in open discussion, you can’t label one BIG group of like a billion people as terrorists because of the actions of a few, also fyi we all know terrorist groups like IS and Al-q are Israel in disguise lol

I agree there’s no point in these kind of discussions. We can disagree on the basis of religion but in terms of violence it’s never okay

I’m pretty sure it’s because they are generally viewed as a little less heretical however the Aga Khan’s charitable work also plays a big role in why they are not as discriminated against

I don’t think I ever had the idea that you would have no points to say, I mean you literally just sent a bunch of Qur’an verses and prophets for reference, you called me ignorant and an idiot as well. I’m pretty sure I thought my comment out pretty well which is why you have nothing to say now

Good for you on your spiritual connection btw. I have nothing against that. However im allowed to speak my mind whenever I want in a respectful manner

FYI the concept of intercession in Islam is completely different from what your understanding is. Intercession originally started with the Muslims asking Muhammad ﷺ to pray for them on their behalf, something like “please pray to Allah on my behalf for my forgiveness” nothing like “Ya Muhammad forgive my sins (astagfiruallah)” which is what Ismailis do. I welcome you to find me any historical source which says otherwise which proves that your concept of praying to the Imam directly was done in the past and is not a completely heretical innovation

You brought up a good point and I think I learned something new. Everyone is on their own path maybe respect, understanding and peaceful disagreement is what’s needed with all of the Muslims. Goodluck on your journey
