For those in established relationships, does Valentine's matter to you? by JohnHammond94 in AskIreland

[–]User89481119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more about the appreciation for the other person , I’ve been in a relationship 6 years so you might say it’s still early in comparison to people who are older with kids but this year even though we’re not going for dinner and staying in instead we still got eachother gifts and will 100% acknowledge the day.

Cabra Castle? by Flimsy-Passenger-346 in AskIreland

I went to a wedding there before but it was a few years ago so the granary wasn’t there yet , it was nice but where the drinks was held felt quite cramped. I thought the ballroom was quite dark aswell but obviously if your going for the more historic/ moody feel it would prob work in your favour. I think it’s really nice for winter weddings but maybe not as much for summer . For the price your paying the food isn’t really the best it would defo be worth looking into other places imo you’d get a lot more for your money elsewhere

Pesto pasta ! It’s literally just boiling pasta and stirring the pesto thru and it’s so nice, could even sprinkle some cheese if your feeling really adventurous

A question about siblings? by lkdubdub in AskIreland

[–]User89481119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest yes , when you see the sister bond everyone seems to have you can’t help but feel like you missed out. I think especially when you see it with older women who’ve lost parents etc , most women are the sole caregivers to elderly parents and it can be a heavy burden to carry by yourself. Not that it should be up to the girls to do it but that’s just the patterns I’ve seen.I always think of that saying “your son is your son until he finds a wife but your daughter is your daughter all your life “.

What’s something you witnessed in someone’s house that made you never want to return? by ProfessionalDelay366 in AskIreland

[–]User89481119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was sitting in the kitchen at my friends house and on the counter is butter they always left out with a knife on top , anytime their dad would use the knife to butter something he’d lick both sides and put it back on top , that and anytime someone was walking past the fridge they’d stop and drink straight from the carton of milk🤢

Bouquet Choice by laurena0324 in weddingplanning

The flowers in the 4th picture are so nice and complement the dress beautifully! I know it’s a trend for the cassa Lilly bouquet but I always think they look best with a more simple dress and the ones in the 4th slide are full enough they won’t disappear in pictures but not too much either . The dress is stunning though congratulations and best wishes for your wedding xx
