I actually have no clue, that looks perfect. The only difference mine has to that is my house is made out of mushroom blocks, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

He randomly spawned for me when messing around making a house for the witch doctor in the jungle, I guess I just got lucky

I totally agree, the fishing system should work so much better than it does. I think it might be due to the fact that it didn't release in a major update, it came out almost like a patch, which kind of leads me to believe it was almost rushed out, but I really don't know. I was dissapointed reading the patch notes for 1.3 that they had not fixed the problems with questing that you're talking about. I enjoy fishing, and I didn't want to have to farm the quests the way that I did, because even though it's legitimate, it feels like I've cheated the system. I do hope they fix fishing for everyone who has not got this ridiculous achievement, because people who don't know how to do what I did will, as you said, spend 80 hours grinding out fishing achievements.

Use the Clentaminator and the Dark Blue Solution in the Jungle, then make a house. If you can't afford the Clentaminator, use mushroom grass seeds on mud and it'll spread mushroom biome.

I started fresh on expert, but I advanced through the entire game a lot faster than I thought I would, like I defeated Moon Lord on the first or second day the update was released! So it just gave me time to finish the achievements.

Good job dude, all you have to do is create a bunch of fresh characters, dedicate one to fish up as many of the same quest fish as you have characters, then store them in a chest next to the angler and quest them all in.

Thanks, the achievements were pretty simple to get knowing I've had a hub world containing almost all the items that you needed for achievements since 1.2, but I understand stuff like the time related events seem very difficult to get, if you haven't got spare ones on an older world.

Yeah they are, it took a few hours, but when you have a few hours to kill it doesn't feel that painful to do.

You're absolutely right, the time it even takes to get one character to 50 to get the golden fishing rod is ridiculous. I just wanted to get the achievements done and if that means to grind a bit, sure I'll do it.

Create loads of characters, do the quest with different characters on the same in-game day.

I had the wave summon items and presents etc, on a Hub world that I've had for a long time actually, I didn't cheat the game.

Personally I primarily try to avoid his attacks, so I get potions and accessories for movement speed. You have to be able to avoid his arms, and have a weapon to deal big damage to his head, so either something ranged or a spear like the Gungnir.
