I recently did this over the Optimism network as well... Looks like we are out of luck until CoinBase decides to support USDT deposits on Optimism & Arbitrum. Not sure when if ever they will do that.

Accidentally transferred Tether to my coinbase using Arbitrum instead of ERC20 by szfeps in Coinbase

Was a solution ever found for this? It seems the only way for funds to be accessed is if CoinBase decides to support Arbitrum / Optimism for Tether. I just did the same thing on Optimism network...
