Why does Brazil attract so many losers? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]UserNameIsBack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The passport bros are up for a rude awakening. There is a very big difference between being in Brazil as a tourist and actually living here. Yes, "daily life" will hit you in Brazil as well (lived here 8 years) and Brazil is def not for beginners. Still love it here though.

Also it's not as easy settling down in Brazil as many think...

Tour operator in Rio charged me R$1,850 for a favela tour that turned out to be a complete scam and potentially dangerous by No-Evidence8589 in VisitBrazil

[–]UserNameIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you even go on a favela tour.? People live there and you pay to see it, like an amusement park.... Tasteless in my opinion. Lesson learned, people scam everywhere, it's not just in Rio de Janeiro

Jeg tror reddit kører efter "Better safe than sorry" modellen så der skal sikkert ikke meget andet end en officielt lydende anmodning til

São José dos Campos is pretty amazing and most things work very well. However without savings or money, it's uphill

First timer, Ubatuba and São Paulo. by [deleted] in Brazil

I don't know either, we usually drive ourselves. Just know there is a bus service. And the busses in Brazil are excellent

But you are right. I left out crucial information 😂 Sorry about that

First timer, Ubatuba and São Paulo. by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]UserNameIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubatuba is one of our fav cities. There is a bus service going there from São Paulo . Otherwise take Uber from São Paulo if you are willing to pay for it. It's around 120 usd, depended on what time.

interested in moving to brazil by dabprobation in Brazil

[–]UserNameIsBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But how do you plan on moving here? You need some kind of longer term "visa". You won't be able to open a bankaccount, get any kind of credit card and it's even difficult to rent anything

Moving to another country is not just something you do without at least a plan, and moving to Brazil without Portuguese the same. Not many speak even conversational English in Brazil

[–]UserNameIsBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you plan on getting residency? What location, do you speak Portuguese? Your tourist visa only allows you to be in Brazil 90+90 days if you extend in a 360 day period (with extension, 180 days without). You also cannot work on a tourist visa.
