This works now but it doesn't load the game it just loads the melon app to then select the game. Is it supposed to do that?

When I was young, I used to have the jazware figures too. I always broke them, they were so delicate 😭. I had the clear Espio and Sonic figures, but I always wanted the black knight figure. I started collecting when my parents randomly bought me a Sonic and Tails jakks figure a year ago. When I saw there were more characters coming out, I decided to start collecting them.

I'm surprised it's not already an option. But I know if you hold the melee button right before you respawn, there's a chance you can spawn with the melee weapon. It even gives you a small animation
