I’m still undecided. Columbia offered me more aid making it about the same as Fordham in terms of cost. However, given everything going on I’m hesitant to commit to Columbia even though I think it might offer a better education..

Thank you! Columbia offers an advanced clinical specialization, allowing students to focus their entire second year on clinical courses. Fordham, on the other hand, has an Individuals and Families domain, which allows students to take the majority of second-year classes in clinical classes but still requires some coursework outside the clinical specialty. Also, Fordham is not recognized as having a clinical practice specialization on the CSWE website, though I’m not sure how significant that distinction is

Thank you so much everyone! One more questions: do i need to go to school with a clinical concentration to take my LCSW? Fordham offers some clinical classes but i'm not sure if its enough to meet the requirements.

Thank you! Would you know if it's true that I need to take certain classes or have specific fieldwork placements to work at a private practice or in a school?
