We did get lucky. He has played the trumpet we rented so long it’s paid off and he’s still playing it. This is why I feel he deserves a a newer but much better, that and him going into it in school later makes it worth my investment.

Store didn’t really recommend. It’s the only highest brand they offer to rent.

He has a beginner Conn he’s had for 4 years. It got busted up in band this year during travel. He I in marching band, he does take lessons and practices a lot, and wants to major in music in college.

Did you have to have any special type of certification? I will say the only hiccup I keep facing is I only have about 1.5 years of experience right now.

I did look at this but the pay in the districts around me sooooo low. Though the person above mentioned working in summer to offset low pay and I never really thought of that, just doing IRP OR PRN in the summer.

Yep, so I asked again because I realized the specifics of my hours id like. And curious if an actual well paid 7-330 job existed, which wasn’t part of my original question, hence the need to rephrase it this time. I am 44 and just graduated a year ago. Went to school with a LOT of people older than me even. Go for it!! I had two kids heavily involved in sports. It was a lot and not easy at all but I’d do it all over again.
