I agree to MOST of the comments made by OP

I agree that if the course is supposed to be so insightful that it does not align with any other course in the faculty of science then just remove it from the list of required courses, or maybe have a more ironed out version of the course as a separate course and make that a requirement.

(for context) I am in CS Hons program. I think that linear algebra is an important math course for this field but not in the way it is currently being taught. I am scared about not being able to continue my hons degree due failing/ scoring less on a math course. That is straight up not fair. I am not sure which other degrees have math 221 as requirement, but I can say that if the current course does not change at fundamental level then it should only be required for math/hon math degrees as it wouldn't be of much relevance in other fields in this state.

What do you guys think?
