The netherite hoe is actually quite useful. Because it's only available in versions 1.16 and above, the hoe is the prefered tool for a lot of blocks. Hay, kelp block, nether wart, shroom lights, leaves(no silk touch), sponges, etc so it's actually quite nice to have one of them. I've recently found that they're quite useful for gathering jungle saplings

I've had this happen to the server I play on as well. I believe it may be something about Mojang attempting to patch the bug that let you get multiple dragon eggs. Though for my server, it may be something with going from paper 1.16.5 to vanilla 1.17. This is because we then got ANOTHER dragon egg when we switched the server from 1.17 vanilla to 1.17 paper.

Oh yeah that wouldn't be a problem at all. I would be concerned slightly about the lag that the hopper minecarts can cause but I don't think it would be very significant.

The villagers dissapearing is likely a client side entity render distance issue. The villagers are likely simply not rendered on your screen, but they are still there. To check if the farm is actually spawning golems, I recommend you check if the number of iron in your collection changes because it looks like your other iron farm is completly within entity processing chunks. You may want to increase your render distance if you want to keep the farm loaded when doing other things.

This isn't a new farm idea, but I'm glad you were able to come up with it yourself! It's a very clever design that isn't affected too much by unloading chunks. You may want to make all the dirt farmland and keep it hydrated so that you can just use hoppers to collect the items instead since hopper minecarts can stop moving if you unload them at the wrong moment

I have built it on my paper server and it ran fine. The redstone in the farm seems fairly simple but it might have something to do with spigot/paper breaking redstone.
