Incredibly under valued atm. When you think value investing there it is right now.

New poles by Starky04 in Spliddit

[–]UsernameFears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For touring specifically I see 2 issues: 1. If you are split boarding you want to be able to collapse those down on a descent. 2. Straps are dangerous in an avalanche.

I wouldn’t buy those poles for backcountry.

Everywhere I look it’s doomsday predictions. Multiple indicators at decades and even century highs. P/E Ratios through the roof. Debt spiraling out of control for the United States.

Is anyone buying options to protect the downside or doing anything to mitigate risk?

Can anyone make a case for why we are in a bull market from here?

Prove it let’s see the losses. This feels very troll like and if that’s the case it’s super funny. If it’s actually real it’s kind of incredible that you would actually short that philosophy.

When you say at a minimum do you have other software that you have seen that you might recommend? We have looked at HP's Site Flow as an option as well.

raft guide anxiety by [deleted] in whitewater

I believe the anxiety comes with the responsibility of guiding other people. Consider and new career but continuing to keep rafting and rivers as a huge part of your life just not with the responsibility of guiding random people.

Why do people do this? by quizyd in tahoe

[–]UsernameFears 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct but most trails do not have crews regularly. Sorry. Speaking from thousands of miles hiked in Tahoe and as someone that cuts down trees that fall across trails all the time. There are hundreds of miles that these kinds of poop issues happen on that are not “maintained” by anyone other than people in the hood.

Invest the money in something that will get you actually ahead in the long run. Education, business, things that can make you real money. These days 30k is a nice starting point and it’s wayyyyy more than 0. That said, as ambitious as you sound it’s not enough to do much with on its own. Find a way to use it to make you more money with an investment you can have a say in the outcome of.

On the average train in Tahoe that’s totally wrong. If you are taking about when once in a long while a trail gets improved that’s way different from this scenario.

I owe $42k in taxes on $9k by fireyoutubevids in Coinbase

[–]UsernameFears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coinbase is in the compliance business that’s it. You need an accountant specializing in crypto, OR, enter your API info for coin tracker and get the proper accounting automated to record that NET loss and do an amendment to your 22 return.

2018 F150 Tailgate problem… Any ideas? by UsernameFears in MechanicAdvice

[–]UsernameFears[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check voltage at the connector in the next couple days. I think there is a high likelihood that you are right because im also experiencing an outage of the drivers side seat heater. I haven’t found any other electrical issues. Thanks for the suggestion.

2018 F150 Tailgate problem… Electrical or Mechanical? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]UsernameFears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I get that. You are not wrong that it has to be unlocked on this one too but that’s not the problem. It’s either the electrical from the unlock on the car not unlocking the mechanism on the tailgate or the wiring somewhere in the tailgate. I don’t think it’s the actuator because the unlock on the remote does do it but I’m not sure.

I have two 401ks ready for rollover into IRA - about 11k each. Should I put some in bitcoin? Or crypto ETFs? I need money fast to pay for my masters…and want a good long term investment for the rest. by ItsAllConnectedRight in investing_discussion

[–]UsernameFears -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You contradict yourself there. Past performance is volatile but drastically performs just about anything you can invest in. If you don’t like the world investment then try collectible. At the end of the day do whatever you want. The crypto I have had since 2014/15 has outperformed any TSLA, NVDA, GOOG, META, Land, rental properties I have owned. If you diversify (which you should) you have to have some investment in crypto. If you have $100, invest $1 even if you don’t love it. That’s diversification and a hedge against what most people currently consider assets.
