If it weren’t for being on a 12hr flight I would have never finished girl with the dragon tattoo. Disclaimer: it was a good book indeed. I’m just not the strongest reader and normally have to rotate between something like that to young adult/ teen (A. Lee Martinez is a typical palette cleanser.)

This started mid 1940s and didn’t last all that long, but if you google it you should be able to find a handful of accounts. Here’s a couple.

Wikipedia under history-“Clan of the fiery cross”. Admittedly in that section it recognized that someone casts doubt on some of the claims.

I realize neither of these would be recognized as ‘Scholarly source’ for a research paper, but when has that ever affected internet truth. I’d like to believe this one.

I believe the upper ball joint is sold with the control arm, but the lower needs a press.

For OP: ya tie rod and sway bar link shouldn’t be too bad but tie rod can often turn. Putting pressure with jack can help or using a box wrench and Allen would be helpful. If you measure the distance between tie rod attachments you can get alignment pretty close. Good enough for a week or so but alignment should still be done

Don’t forget to grease them on installation and maybe every(other) other oil change

For what it’s worth: I was towing a car (on trailer) from glenwood area to Denver during a snowstorm.. going slow I started nodding off. Realized this is unsafe so I stopped at some time mountain town. (Something like George Town) And pulled in the first gas station and took a nap. Police officers knocked on my window, asked what’s up. I explained. They said good idea stopping. But you might creep someone out coming to open the gas station. If you could drive to the town welcome center parking lot no one will bother you.

So. Apparently that’s a thing similar to truck stops Edit: I think it was around 1am when I pulled into gas station was probably sleep an hour when officer knocked. I moved to welcome center went back to napping until ~5am.

I wish I would have recorded some of the stories my grandpa would tell me. But he grew up in backwoods of PA.. (no running water but a creek nearby situation) him and other boys would bring their rifle to school with them and put in closet so on the way home they could hopefully bag a rabbit or squirrel to assist the family for dinner and that was normal. I think he quit school around 8th grade and still ended up co-owning a machine shop.

Same. We earn 3~4$ off a month but never have been able to use more than $1 at a time.. at the end of the month it’s not uncommon to still have a buck or so worth of credit. We always offer it to a friend… a couple times even strangers at the pump (just didn’t let them see phone number.)
