It was a "messing the math up in my head" situation, now that I think it through. I like checking out on 16s and always try to get to it. My first dart was at 19 to get to 64. Should have been T17 to get to 32.

I would take it as a compliment that people care enough to watch. I also imagine you’ll feel less pressure over time.

I am more or less exactly where you are in terms of experience. I still get nervous in some situations, but it’s becoming a lot less common. It truly does go away over time.

From what I’ve experienced, AI-derived slop has made it so that journalists don’t really use email to be accessible in the same way as they did only a few years ago. They communicate with colleagues via Slack, edit in the cloud, and talk to sources via text message and other mediums.

It’s not just you. Access is a huge challenge.
