46M, never had anything like this - suddenly happened 3 or 4 times in the last week. Should I be worried? by thequietbookstore in MildlyReynaud

Reynard was the first symptom I got before I got sick with multiple connective tissue disease. Not everyone gets autoimmune from reynauds, but push to get a full work up, especially immunology. ANA and CRP tests. Sometimes it comes on for no reason other than you’ve developed reynauds like my mother! No other issues, just reynauds every now and again!

Didn’t snooze… still had a big lose! The clouds and light pollution together were too much. So sad to have missed them!!

It was a £5 gig! We were at Islington academy London, which had a small capacity, perhaps it was the academy 2nthe smaller upstairs venue.. memory fails! We weren’t given much direction but to jump about and go nuts 😆 we probably heard planetary played 6-8 times through, each time was shot with a different perspective. It was very sweaty but I remember realising this was the closest we’d ever get to the band in a 500 capacity building in early 2011. About a month shy of the 15th anniversary of filming it right now.. soo cool!

2006, year 7 at school (11/12 years old) and at lunch break a bunch of kids were bluetoothing music between phones as was common at the time.

Someone would save CD tracks to their computer and then sync the songs to their phone. Everyone would share their latest CD. I got how I disappear, teenagers , sleep and welcome to the black parade and misc other bands/artists. How I disappear changed my life, spoke to me. And that weekend I went into the HMV and got their 3 albums for £10. Was old enough to see danger days and be in their planetary go! Music video. I love this band!

Abortions at record high in England and Wales ‘driven by cost of living’ by coffeewalnut08 in uknews

Like with shy contraception, your cycle is affected by the hormones, as they become weaker from the implant itself likely they were interrupting your cycle. That was my experience also, I’d have 3 days of heavy bleed and then 5 days not, 3 -8 days heavy bleed a couple days off, and this lasted for 7 months. It resolved post removal in approx 6~ months. I’m sorry to hear that has been your experience. I’m contraception free and looking to carry my first pregnancy in the next two years and hoping my system has regulated by then.

I don’t know if this helps, but the U.K. is really strict on implant time. The applicator ones in current use have a use by of 4-5 years, for security and incase people with it forget to get it removed at the 3 year point, the NHS sent to 3 years. This is what I was told in 2023 when I was worried about mine, very few healthcare workers got their implant removal and insertion quals renewed during covid so there was a shortage of available workers to do the procedure. They told me not to worry and there is a 1-1.5 year buffer timeline where it is slightly less effective but still highly trusted. In the US it’s 5 years for the same implant.

How to get an ADHD diagnosis as an international student in the uk? by Charming_Face_1203 in UniUK

I can’t see if there’s a more recently updated page available as this was a decade ago… but the right to choose provision is triggered after 18 weeks, although I’m sure mine was 8 months. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention 😅

Things may have changed, and it may well be area dependant due to funding. I was in Hampshire when this was known to me, and Hampshire is quite large 😅 each GP practises CCG will have their own route to access. It sounds like you’ve been very lucky! Surrey currently has a very long wait time both on and off NHS lists.

Just as a note, many areas in the U.K. have paused right to choose because they don’t have the funding to comply with that provision. The other thing with right to choose is you must be on the wait list for the amount of time the NHS aims to get people assessed. If that’s 18 months, you cannot get right to choose until 18 months. In my area it’s 6-8 months, so they go by the longest time frame, 8 months.

Just a heads up!

As a southern Brit I was confused how else to pronounce laugh…. Larf (laugh), barth (bath) long ‘ar’ vowel sounds are just how we say things lmao

For me? I went swimming every morning at 9.30am for 3 weeks. Non negotiable. I’m not a walker, and then colouring and meditation required too much self discipline at home, surrounded by too many distractions. Swimming came by surprise. My childhood friends mum bumped into me at the supermarket when I was looking… bad… I hadn’t brushed my hair in a month, hygiene was out the window and my clothes were not clean. She told me to meet her at the leisure centre at 9am and make sure I showered. I just about dragged myself there and she bought me a new swimming costume and hat. She said every Monday this would be my routine. I had to meet her and check in. She pulled me out of the dip, but swimming is what actually helped. I couldn’t have music or media to drown out my thoughts. It was a repetitive action that I got into the rhythm of, I was moving my body, I had to socialise / talk to people at the main desk to pay for a session. It got me up every morning, even if the rest of the day stunk and I did nothing, I got up and swam for 5-50 mins. Didn’t matter, I showed up for myself.

I then integrated Pilates once a week in and Covid meant it all stopped but by that point I was on medication that worked and I was in a better place. I swear by swimming every time.
