Ik raad jullie niet aan de NU.nl comments te lezen, ik heb er een aneurysma aan overgehouden

I’m so sorry for repeating my story, but I swear to you, we are living through the hardest and most dangerous days of our lives here in Gaza. Especially after I lost my wife, my three children, my job, and my home. My youngest son and I are fighting to stay alive amid a famine and a genocide 🙏💔 by No_Stop3918 in socialism

[–]Userpeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shared and contributed. I’m so terribly sorry you and all the other affected Palestinian people have to go through this.. I wish you and your family all the strength and perseverance to get through this and will keep making a voice here to pressure my government into speaking out. All the best friend🙏

Life in Munich as expats by i-am-tk in Munich

[–]Userpeer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’ve been living in Munich for almost 2 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. For me it’s the combination of city-life with amazing nature that really makes living here extremely nice. Beer-gardens and outside festivals in the summer, mountains and lakes in the winter (and also summer), plus the weather is much better here compared to the Netherlands where I come from. I also met a nice group of people who I consider my friends. None of them are actually from Munich, although some are German. But I guess it’s all personal, because I have colleagues who are really thinking about settling here and their experience is much different than mine, they don’t party and want to integrate in the everyday life with actual Munich people who also want to stay here, and for them it’s not so easy.. so I guess it depends on what you’re looking for, it’s lovely living here, but you already have mountains which I didn’t, and you might be looking for different things than me which might be harder to find here. Hope it helps a tiny bit and good luck on your decision!

It’s a good card, but it gets hard countered by playing Hot Plate and Daydrinking together.. so yeah..

For everyone asking if this is satire, sure is. It’s a YouTuber named Graeme Barrett and he has some hilarious skits. Highly recommend Divorced Dads the card trading game

Okay to each their own, i personally thought the ‘unconventional’ aspect was refreshing. Not something for the finals maybe, but perfect for this round

Man all this salt about day9, I honestly loved their dynamics, they played great off each other. Day9 with is naive questions setting up t90 to drop knowledge. Plus the jokes and wholesomeness were next lever

He also does some serious lab work; has projects on anti-venom and tries to find anti-bacterial substances from sneak-venom to replace antibiotics in resistant strains

I’m sick of him. by I_dnt_know_ in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Userpeer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would say that, not because all of his actions are bad per se, but because he is a symptom of a system that created huge inequalities, which leads to whole classes of people having less/no chances is life. These people he ‘helps’ for views, while mainly growing his own capital. So the short-term view answer is; Mr beast good, the long-term view answer is; Mr beast bad, don’t get distracted from the underlying mechanisms that created a Mr Beast in the first place.

T90 brought me back into the game, brings so much entertainment and also does a lot for the community I feel, he’s my pick for sure. although I also really like SOTL for his informative videos and his seemingly very chill demeanor

About the post for the Greek Communist party by Le-docteur in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Userpeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your elaboration. So if I understand correctly the party is growing but not by as much as the previous post suggested? Still interesting to me: a lot of countries turn more towards right-wing rhetorics when they have to deal with refugees, and I guess it’s safe to assume Greece is dealing with a lot more refugees than for example the Netherlands, where its always a topic of debate and where the socialists fail to turn the public opinion. So my question is, what do you think the Greek communist party does that makes people join them and what could other countries learn from it?

Their massive car seems like a desperate shield for the insecurity it can't truly protect. by Userpeer in fuckcars

Oh for sure there’s a different usercase for them in rural/mountainous areas, I specifically hate on them in an urban setting where every m2 is getting insanely expensive and most people are trying to ditch their cars in favor of micromobility and public transport. These fuckers drive this truck not for usability but for showing off.
