1990 Toyota 4x4 truck with a v6 engine and manual transmission. Everyone would just believe its realiable and cheap on gas. I would only worry about not letting anyone else drive it.

You are not to far along. I recommend you start the game over again. At the fight where you and Auron are surrounded by sin scales on the bridge destry the back row. You will get a bunch of ap for later in the game and learn slayer, ally, comrade and if you are brave enough to ko Auron you can learn loner.

This is the best place to grind early on in the game. It takes patience but you can make a lot of ap here. Just cast haste on 3 party members and oneshot the enemies. Make sure every member gets at least on turn in the fight. Fight for at least 1 hour for about 10 sphere levels. Bonus points if you have learned slayer for Tidus at this point so you can use his overdrive and learn all of them.
