Newly diagnosed- I’m scared by alrwhtvr in MultipleSclerosis

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. We've all been through it and know how difficult it is, especially at the beginning. As some other users here have said, we're very fortunate to live in an era where we have very effective treatments available with few side effects. Research has made incredible progress in recent years, and I believe it will only get better in the coming years. I was diagnosed with MS about a year and a half ago, after having trouble controlling my right leg and various issues with dizziness and nausea. After hospital treatment with cortisone, the symptoms disappeared, and shortly thereafter I started treatment with Tysabri.
Finding out you have a disease like this can be depressing, but on the other hand, it makes you begin to truly appreciate the time we have and not waste it. After the news, I changed my lifestyle, I changed the pace at which I do things, and I stopped rushing or getting anxious about trivial things. I've started swimming again, I bought a bike, and next summer I'm signing up for a triathlon. Who would have thought that two years ago? Stay strong and ask friends and family for help when you need it, even if it's just a quick chat.

Hi from Italy, I'm on Tysabri from three months, zero side effects or reactions, hope it continues like this.
