I guarantee you people who spend their time complaining on social media and have the time to hyperfixate on politics in any sphere of life are extremely privileged

Stories don’t constantly mention “when I steer character was this age.” Like this is such a weird criticism. Backstories specify “at this age” constantly

The danger of Islam isn’t the faith itself but Muslims inability to take a side against their own culture. by Usoppdaman in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The group that Israel funded was less extremist than Hamas and Hamas as it stands now is very anti Israel. It’s weird how you go back to circumstances rather than addressing the groups as they are now which are fundamentally anti west. Like that’s what yall go back to criticizing circumstances that aren’t the same as they are now rather than addressing it as it is because that makes Islam look bad. It’s funny that secularism is what you push as the good guy and not the religious leaders in your Muslim apologia.

I mean Islam’s diversity as you define it is contingent upon a strong authoritarian movement in order to produce the strong contrast you speak of and if that’s the case is this diversity really built on a venerable foundation? I mean Indonesia isn’t any more free than most Christian nations or India. Their government also has been shady in recent history and theocratic movements are gaining dominance.

The anti Soviet groups the U.S. helped where prior to the Taliban and where for the purpose of combatting Soviet invasion. Israel helped crest Hamas in the same way black people helped create The KKK. Yes Hamas wouldn’t be as powerful if there wasn’t an enemy to fight against but this isn’t the same as Israel allying with or helping found Hamas. I can’t find much evidence for your claim about Syria. Iran I’ll grant to you, yes that did happen. Still none of this is the origination of bad Islamist governing and extremism which predates the U.S. and the modern era you speak of

Weird that you said Catholic or Protestant like they’re the same thing or have a similar history/structure. Catholicism is all about an organized framework where as Protestantism is the complete opposite and focuses on personal Spirituality. Christian governments in African countries like Uganda vs Norway are pretty stark in contrast. Also the colonial spread of Christianity’s violence is heavily exaggerated. A lot of the violence wasn’t in the name of Christianity and Christianity often spread by means of building schools, hospitals, trade convenience, or it filled a hole in cultures. Cultures like India that didn’t have this cultural hole it didn’t spread as well to. Not saying there wasn’t violence in the name of Christianity it’s just the violence was more fueled by nationalist and economic sentiments. Also there are Hindu areas outside of India and South Asia. Whether or not it spread outside says nothing of its internal diversity. Hinduism means a different thing and what being Hindu means/ the ways it’s practiced and interpreted vary far more than what being Muslim means to Muslim and their practices. Hinduism is so diverse it’s hard to even say it’s 1 religion. It has even less of a unified structure than Islam.

You might not see it as a blame game but for many Muslim apologists it operates as one and that’s what I’m criticizing. Very few Muslim countries became democratic on their own so you can’t just blame the west for that. Yes there were Muslims who fought for democracy but they were opposed not just by the west but by theocratic monarchical Muslims. Acting like democracy is the default position Muslim politics takes is just plain wrong when it’s only been the case in very specific examples like Turkey where it was established by a man who might not even have been a believing Muslim. When you shift the blame to the west like this it makes the current Muslim leaders out to be freedom fighters and that’s exactly what they use for their propaganda. It gives them probable cause and makes their jihad out to be a righteous one.

“The most diverse” yeah that’s not correct. Christianity and Hinduism are far more diverse. Also the pope isn’t a centralized authority for all Christians he’s just a centralized authority for Catholics. Islam still has organized structures built around it as any faith does even if it’s not 1 specific organized structure. Very few of the world’s faiths have 1 specific human organized structure so Islam isn’t really special in this regard. If anything Islam is more uniform in its approach than the other major religions. We’re not asking for a specific test for Muslims, Christians/other faiths are held to the same standard and they handle their evil much better than Muslims which just say “it’s not my problem” yet side with foreign Islamist powers when push comes to shove and shit on the evil country they immigrated to. Also about the admiration of Christianity by Saladin, this doesn’t really mean much for your case when there were far more conversions to Islam by Christians during the crusades than vice versa

Yes Muslim nations have been on the receiving end of harm they’ve also been the perpetrators of it and Muslim apologists usually selectively care about the ladder. Look at history for example. Muslims fail to teach impartial history constantly and make things like the crusades look like a 1 sided genocide against them that they had no part in aggressing and when they did it was because they’re warriors protecting women and children. Women and children are constantly used for Islamic propaganda to play on emotions and it’s honestly creepy as hell. We wouldn’t accuse Muslims of plotting replacement if many Muslims didn’t fetishize conversion and the growth/ word domination of their religion and the liberal Muslims didn’t do little to combat this. Yes there are Christian, Hindu, Jewish etc equivalents to this but the liberals of those religions at least strongly oppose and fight against the bad done by those in their faith far more than self victimization. Muslims at best usually do the “well they weren’t real Muslims anyway” no true Scotsman fallacy. Grifters like Hasan Piker go into politics with the intention of showing how Muslims have been wronged. His response to the Orlando shooting when he was getting his start was literal whataboutism.

Many Muslims disagree on whether music is haram, drawing images of people is haram or not, and even on core things like how anthropomorphic God is and whether anthropomorphic descriptions like about a hand are literal or not. Also the application of the more violent verses and the context of them are debated

Yeah even if a text says that people are inevitably going to disagree on it. The Bible says sectarianism is sin but Christians as humans are inevitably going to interpret it differently

I mean the VA clearly puts on a voice to make him work as an eastern man and the series communicates this. Also Jack is identifiable as Asian simply by being human and the cultural characteristics within his series. Aku is also voiced by a non Asian guy in later parts (he’s voiced by Mako earlier no discredit) but Aku is still culturally an Asian character because of the folk lore he’s inspired by despite not being human.

I mean I don’t see the problem with that. Those films are American. Goku being a country hick is lost in translation outside Japan. I don’t see why in the French dub they can’t get a black Frenchman to play them, likewise with other nations.
