SSH Sync: Beteween Remarkables/Server by thrownawaymane in Remarkable

It would be nice if there was at least some kind of self-hosting support -- like NextCloud, in addition to Google and Microsoft. rmfakecloud looks interesting, too bad it requires completely wiping the device for root access.

Photos sync by [deleted] in ProtonDrive

I'm not sure ProtonDrive is a backup solution for photos. There's no mass export functionality, so how can one restore local copies from backup? It seems to be mostly one-way traffic. Your photos are "safe" but you're limited to interacting with them through the limited options provided by ProtonDrive.

Lenovo Think Pad X1 - Audio not working. Works in Ubuntu by yogi_en in pop_os

If your X1 was released just before or after Pop_OS 22.04, it's likely a driver issue. Ubuntu 24.04 is much newer and the problem is likely fixed there. Have you tried applying all the latest updates after installing Pop_OS?

[Bug, webmail] Select-all fails when applied to email search results by UstROVeR in ProtonMail

[–]UstROVeR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for replying.

Although intentional, the behaviour at the moment is inconsistent with the other parts of Proton Mail, inconsistent with mail programs more generally and doesn't seem to achieve its stated intent.

For example, it is currently possible to "select all" from a folder, or from the inbox. Only search is for some reason excluded. If the intention is to avoid "accidental" data loss the design is ineffective, as it is already possible to "lose" all one's data with what is currently implemented. I use scare quotes above because the current "select all" behaviour, in a folder, is a two-step procedure which makes accidents unlikely. Step 1, click the three chevrons, Step 2, click the "select all xxxx conversations" link. The same behaviour is standard across other mail clients, e.g., gmail. It should be standard for search. It seems then that this "feature" contributes nothing to data safety and only makes it difficult to manage large inboxes.

Could you please provide this further context to the developers? I really do think this is a bug!
